Man City vs Liverpool- Sun 19th March: 16.30

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby redshade » Fri Mar 17, 2017 9:39 pm

Another easy one :D.

City will be looking to bounce back after champions league exit so i think we're in for a ride.
This will be a high scoring game i can't see it a simple 1-0 win.

Hard to predict this one as it could go either way. Also considering our good record againt top sides were due a bad result. Lets hope not on sunday.

Firmino back in training so could be starting.

This is 50/50 so i think will either lose 3-2 or win same scoreline.

I think we will win this one. We are playing at theirs and they have to attack and that will play into our hands as we like to play these teams. Their defense is a little slow and if they play with a high line we will exploit it. Mane, Coutinho, Firmino and Lallana should have good games. We have a chance to really stick the knife in a wobbling rival and hope we take it.

The fact that only one post in the match thread the day before a big match against a rival says volumes about the apathy towards the team this season.

I was browsing this forum and noticed how busy it used to be.

I wonder why a lot of members have left or have they joined another platform...

I'm a little bit worried about this one I must admit, the law of averages alone suggests that we are bound lose one of these big head to heads sooner or later and although, yes, City were dumped out of Europe midweek they did manage to put 5 past a decent team like Monaco at the Etihad.
Even if Lovren does return to the line up I still think we will struggle to keep these out, I reckon we might need to score at least 3 goals ourselves if we want to win this one.

I agree yakka.

We're due a defeat to one of the big boys and City more than any given our recent record against them.

But when you analyze it, we are the worst nightmare for a team that tries to play out from the back. We will create chances.

I won't be surprised whether we win or lose this game.

Stupid Stoke... they were playing well against Chelsea and a moment of madness at the back gifted Chelsea the winner...  :veryangry

I don't think anyone's catching Chelsea. They're long gone.

However, 2nd, 3rd and 4th are all up for grabs and a win against City will help us stretch a gap between 4th and 5th. I know we've played more games, but as the Arsenal game proves, you have to win the games to catch up. And with the European distractions for Manure, I can see us making gains.

I'm going for 2-1 to us. But wouldn't be surprised if it's a draw or 4-0 drubbing  :D

Huge game now with Arsenals capitulation and a chance to dump City in the head to head tomorrow.

Im thinking a straight shoot out here and we usually show our best in these games but its really important we bring home bacon tomorrow.

You deliver success in these type of games and after losing two finals last season this top 4 is our only hope this and its about time Klopp and his team got one over the line.

He's okay apparently. He always seems to do well against the better teams so hopefully Jurgen's planning on throwing him in from the start. We missed his link up play last week that's for sure.
