Newcastle v LIVERPOOL Sun 1st Oct 4.30 KO

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby ycsatbjywtbiastkamb » Fri Sep 29, 2017 11:16 pm

We come face to face with one of the best managers in our 125 year history in this one. Hopefully we'll leave St James Park with the 3 points on Sunday though.

Newcastle are not that good upfront but have got a decent defence. Putting form to the side Rafa will want to do well against his ex club and will not make it easy.

We really need to start converting our chances into goals. We should start Wijnaldum against his former club. He never scores away but might do as Newcastle was his home :D.

Anyhow i would rest Firmino and give Studge the nod upfront.

TAA     Matip   Lovren  Robertson

         Hendo  Wijnaldum

Salah                      Mane

I'm strangely optimistic on this one. Am going for 3-1 to us as we have to click sooner or later. And when we do, we'll go in a winning run of 10 games.  :buttrock

We need the three points, simple. I'm expecting us to have good possession and chances a plenty, the same as all the other matches. Hopefully, we can put our chances away in this one.

Can see us putting them to the sword early on. Rafa hasnt been backed there and not surr he has a squad equipped to deal with a season in this league. See a pretty comfortable 3-0 for us tomorrow, maybe even more if we have one of them performances where everything clicks.

That's Monday mate, there are strong winds forecast for Northern England on Monday but when I say strong winds we are talking 40 mph - 50 mph, not the 150 mph+ we saw recently in the Caribbean and southern US.

City with a superb win today keeps the pressure at the top. Mannure at the moment can't stop scoring 3+ goals.

Spurs on the other hand are looking strong aswel.

I really hope we get 3 points so we keep up with the pace.

City were very impressive. Away to Chelsea and literally went there and controlled the whole game. Guardiola is really stamping his mark on that team now he is is in his second season

Hopefully we do mate, there's nothing worse than going into a 2 week international break off the back of a disappointing result.

To be fair City have been spending big money year on year since they bought Robinho back in 2008, you'd expect them to have a good side.

I think the fact they totally outplayed the current champions on their own patch is an ominous sign. This was against a team that has also spent loads of money to. In past years, under the likes of Mancini, Pellegrini, CIty have been good but Guardiola is taking them to new levels. They literally strangled Chelsea into submission

They did play well like but if anything that performance of City's last night at Stamford Bridge should give our own players confidence, when we played City and it was 11 v 11 we looked the better side, yes we were 1 down but it looked like it was only going to be a matter of time before we scored ourselves. In fact just before the sending off Martin Tyler and Gary Neville were saying on commentary that Klopp 'must be scratching his head how his side find themselves 1 down'. Even the sending off itself came from another attack where we carved City open, normally most sending off's go against team's that are defending, not team's on the verge of scoring.
Even though we were away from home and playing without our best player we created far more against City in 20 minutes than Chelsea did in 90 minutes on their own patch.
