Luis Suarez signs for Barcelona

His talent and strike rate has always been there - his strike rate was even better before in Holland and he is a wonderful talent alongside the likes of Cavani and Falcao. That's the price tag teams pay for the top players at the moment - top players that don't spend 25% of each season suspended.

On playing ability alone, I wouldn't argue with that but it's the other side to him which is the problem and probably why a club would not be paying a Ronaldo/Bale type fee. Also, due to the negative stuff his been involved in, he's probably not as marketable as a Bale/Ronaldo due to those past misdemeanour's. Problem for us is that if Madrid come in for him in January, I think it if going to be very difficult to deny him a move

I think the point about his personality and trouble are valid, but you can see (and I hoped) that he has learnt to get down to football first and those sort of negative behaviour while playing for a big club is going to harm your credibility and marketability. But there is no denying that any team with Suarez in it will definitely get both sets of fans the buzz like no one (baring CR and Messi) in the current footballing world can, and that's why I think he must worth more than Bale (OK Bale went for silly money there and it's mostly down to Levy playing hard ball, and that's what we should do) Imagine our team without Suarez at the moment? And if we can get silly money for him and invest wisely, I think we will still do all right.

We have lots of ammunition this January...as this is a world cup year and Suarez is not going to go on strike or something like that, and he needs regular football. Madrid will also be desperate especially if they lose today's Classico. We should try to take Madrid to the cleaners, but I don't think Ayre have the balls to do what Levy has done, unfortunately!

Now c'mon guys let's just gonna let today's win soak in and not discuss Luis' leaving to death because frankly we know sh1t

I don't think he will leave in Jan - Madrid need to get rid of players before buying and that's just too much to do over Jan.

As much as a ***** Suarez is I don't think he will create any problems in Jan as well.

Also we have all said that he has learned from his behaviour and got down it football but it hasn't lasted long and don't expect it will this time.

He scored a great hat trick for us today and I hope he continues in that vein until he goes ( whenever that is).

I thought Luis would burst back on to the pitch like a force of nature ,but his performances have been so mature and thoughtful
its been a subtle progression back to the genius we all remember ......he was just unbelievably good earlier ,and his movement so
adept that the West Brom defenders will have less perplexing days playing twister with Reed Richards.

Brilliant

I didn't think he seen alot of the ball today though...

Alot of people are raving over him but I've seen him "play better" and not score the same amount of goals.

The first two goals were just ridiculous, I couldn't even bring myself to celebrate. I just sat there amazed at what I'd what I'd seen, laughed and shook my head!

If you have seen him play better Stu I'd like a few examples because my memory just isn't that good. He scored an absolute worldie of a hat-trick and hit the bar twice. I struggle to understand what you actually look for at times. You possibly spend so much time analysing all of a players strengths and weaknesses that you miss the blindingly obvious. Or maybe you're just trying to kick up a bit of a shitstorm but I find that very hard to believe

I just didn't feel he had as much of the ball as he has in alot of games.

Didn't realise he scored a hattrick though, thanks for pointing that out! :D

I'm still trying to work out how anyone can score a header from 17 yards out, at a speed of 38mph whilst still putting enough bend on the ball to put it into the top corner

take a bow Mr Suarez

I'm trying to work out why some fans are concentrating on an agreeable exit package rather than just enjoying the phenomenon that is:
Luis Alberto Suárez Díaz

Great player, no doubt about it, but he's not a red.

I'll cheer my team when he scores, but i'll never cheer him.

I am just enjoying the fact that we have this amazing player wearing a red shirt scoring goals for us. Long may it last.

Here's a crazy idea.

Why don't we keep one of the best players in the world at our club?

With Coutinho back in the side next week we actually have a chance to keep momentum in what many (including myself) saw as another season lost.

In January when the transfer window opens, instead of being all doom and gloom and s**t, let's hope for the best and demand that our tight a**e owner's actually f**king spend some of THEIR money for once.

If we actually bring in just one, one QUALITY attacking player in January we will go a long way in challenging for 4th this season.

If we are back in CL league next season there is no reason why from there we can't bring in more talented players that can complement Suarez.
