"I don't feel betrayed [by Liverpool] but the club promised me something a year ago just as I promised them that I would stay and try everything possible to get us into the Champions League.
"They gave me their word a year ago and now I want them to honour that. And it is not just something verbal with the coach but something that is written in the contract. I’m not going to another club to hurt Liverpool." Let me start by saying IF THIS IS TRUE, this really does not paint a good picture of Rodgers or FSG. They need to come out and completely deny this now or we should be demanding that Rodgers, management and the club owners be sacked immediately. You should NEVER be making these kind of promises even verbally, NEVER.
And then this.
"People may accuse me of showing a lack of loyalty but last season we told Liverpool there was interest from a top European club but they told me: We've got a new coach and we’re going to push for the Champions League'.
"I spoke with Brendan Rodgers several times and he told me: 'Stay another season, and you have my word if we don't make it then I will personally make sure that you can leave'.Once again, IF TRUE this club is in complete and utter shambles with certain expectations being preached through the media and complete down-right lies being fed to the players on the other hand. The club needs to make a stance on what Suarez has said and I will be completely admonished if they do not deny any of it.
The grenade has been sent to Rodgers and Henry. Let's see how they respond.

No need to rush to any conclusion just yet...all we hear are what being said by one party, and the club should not need to give an official response to any comments made by a third parties unless necessary.
If Luis hold such an air tight signed contract that allowed him to leave when someone tabled £40M, then there should be no issue and Rogers & Co will need some serious spanking for being so naive in their contract negotiation. Else this is just a bunch of horsesh1te and the club should hold it's interest first above any individual.
All we know is (judging by past records) that the higher hierarchy of the club, including the marketing head need to be "upgraded" as those there are still lots of upsides and improvement all the way from the boardroom and top management of the club. We need to be wiser, street smart and to explore every commercial opportunities that can be had by the club.
We also know that Luis is an undoubted talent, a flawed one in that and that he will not hesitate to bite off (sometime literally) the hands that feed him. This is not the first time in his career nor is this going to be the last we will hear about. As far as his career with Liverpool is concern, it has gone way too far to be salvageable. Now we need to be able to recoup as much as necessary off him or else throw him to the reserve to rot, and sent out a signal to all those prima donna & mercenaries out there.
All these wanting to force a move yet wanting to collect his loyalty bonus cheque is bullsh-ite from Luis. If he is so desperate for a move, then he should have submitted his request from Day 1 and force the club's hands. His talent but bad disciplinary record means it's a bitter sweet situation for me. For one, getting a replacement for him is not going to be cheap or easy but when someone's heart is no longer with us, it's time to end the relationship, however sad it may be. Then again a rat like Luis needs to be taught a lesson and that's why I firmly hoped that the club grew some serious balls and to protect the club's greatest interest, that including not strengthening our rivals' hands.
One more thing...isn't the release clause (if any) for Luis supposed to be a kept secret and how did it get out to become a public info? if Arsenal, by virtue of bidding £40,000,001 proved that they knew fully of this insider information, shouldn't we have a case to take up with the FA and to charge Arsenal for illegal poaching? if Luis or his' agent intentionally leaked it out, then FIFA should be able to clamped down on them and an appropriate fine be imposed?
