Let me start by saying IF THIS IS TRUE, this really does not paint a good picture of Rodgers or FSG. They need to come out and completely deny this now or we should be demanding that Rodgers, management and the club owners be sacked immediately. You should NEVER be making these kind of promises even verbally, NEVER.

And then this.

Once again, IF TRUE this club is in complete and utter shambles with certain expectations being preached through the media and complete down-right lies being fed to the players on the other hand. The club needs to make a stance on what Suarez has said and I will be completely admonished if they do not deny any of it.

The grenade has been sent to Rodgers and Henry. Let's see how they respond.  ???

GET A HOLD OF YOURSELF!!!!! BEFORE YOU COME OUT DEMANDING ANSWERS FROM RODGERS AND FSG BECAUSE OF ACCUSATIONS OF THIS CHAP. FFS!!!! HOW MUCH DRIVEL ARE YOU GOING TO TAKE SERIOUSLY FROM THIS GUY?

No need to rush to any conclusion just yet...all we hear are what being said by one party, and the club should not need to give an official response to any comments made by a third parties unless necessary.

If Luis hold such an air tight signed contract that allowed him to leave when someone tabled £40M, then there should be no issue and Rogers & Co will need some serious spanking for being so naive in their contract negotiation. Else this is just a bunch of horsesh1te and the club should hold it's interest first above any individual.

All we know is (judging by past records) that the higher hierarchy of the club, including the marketing head need to be "upgraded" as those there are still lots of upsides and improvement all the way from the boardroom and top management of the club. We need to be wiser, street smart and to explore every commercial opportunities that can be had by the club.

We also know that Luis is an undoubted talent, a flawed one in that and that he will not hesitate to bite off (sometime literally) the hands that feed him. This is not the first time in his career nor is this going to be the last we will hear about. As far as his career with Liverpool is concern, it has gone way too far to be salvageable. Now we need to be able to recoup as much as necessary off him or else throw him to the reserve to rot, and sent out a signal to all those prima donna & mercenaries out there.

All these wanting to force a move yet wanting to collect his loyalty bonus cheque is bullsh-ite from Luis. If he is so desperate for a move, then he should have submitted his request from Day 1 and force the club's hands. His talent but bad disciplinary record means it's a bitter sweet situation for me. For one, getting a replacement for him is not going to be cheap or easy but when someone's heart is no longer with us, it's time to end the relationship, however sad it may be. Then again a rat like Luis needs to be taught a lesson and that's why I firmly hoped that the club grew some serious balls and to protect the club's greatest interest, that including not strengthening our rivals' hands.

One more thing...isn't the release clause (if any) for Luis supposed to be a kept secret and how did it get out to become a public info? if Arsenal, by virtue of bidding £40,000,001 proved that they knew fully of this insider information, shouldn't we have a case to take up with the FA and to charge Arsenal for illegal poaching? if Luis or his' agent intentionally leaked it out, then FIFA should be able to clamped down on them and an appropriate fine be imposed?

Don't think I can add a great deal to what's been said. I'm disappointed at the lengths he's prepared to go to get out of the club. I just hope Real come in and snatch him from Arsenal's grasp really - not necessarily Real, just someone abroad

LS got some unexpected support from from former LFC player, (think it was Steve Nicol or Gary Giliespie) basically saying that he (LS) honored his contract, and that the other party (BR, FSG et al) are in the wrong. What is going on here then?

LS  has dragged our club through 2 major incidents, and he talks about honouring this and that, go f**k, let him rot in the reserves. Under no circumstances should he be sold to to the Arsew1pes.

A key player at Liverpool is making explosive accusations against Rodgers and the owners, are you so naive or too ignorant to think that all of this HAS TO BE LIES and can't be taken seriously?

The fact that he has made this comments public are an embarrasment once again on him and the club. I, like millions of other fans on the planet expect the owners and Rodgers to fire back a quick response and discipline him for his latest antics. He has shown his true colours and we need to accept he won't play for us this coming season. I personally don't care what happens to him as long as he doesn't get his way by forcing a move to Arsenal.

But what I do care about is my club and the way it is being run, if there is any truth in his allegations then we need to ask Rodgers to leave and for the owners to sell up, as the "games" that many of us have thought been going on for quiet a while in the background is really the nightmare reality we don't want to accept. We won't get back to 4th or challenging in the future for titles tolerating this sort of behaviour, so these are ALL key questions that need to be answered over the next 24 hours by Rodgers and Henry.

When one of our own players turns against the club, it's owners and manager I would EXPECT every single fan on the planet to DEMAND an official response.

If you don't understand how serious these allegations are, I guess you don't understand football management at all.

my conspiracy theory is that, RM asked wenger to bid aggressively for suarez,
knowing we wont sell to a domestic rival, we will be happy to accept a bid from RM for 40m.
and then RM will sell one of its player to wenger.

I am somewhat surprised at the ongoing debate about who said what etc.
The basic facts are that Suarez was always going to behave in this fashion if he were not able to have his own way. He has previous form in fighting to leave a club with Groningen and his ill-thought behaviour related to and following the various incidents while at Anfield must have been an indication that Suarez would throw it all at the fan when cornered like this.
Let's hope that the management are legally and strategically prepared to handle this situation.
Somehow, I have my doubts with Ian Ayre, who has none of the leadership skills required to negotiate such 'difficult waters'  I fear that that there will not be a satisfactory financial conclusion to this saga and we will be left with a lot of reputational damage, resulting from poor leadership.

the trouble with verbal agreement is it is ur words against mine.
and seeing that suarez is no angel, will the judge trust him should this goes to court?

if suarez allows this to go to court then he is seriously being badly advised.

The thing is this mightbe true, and the club might be okay with selling him, but we need the right offer to come in first. If you make an  promise like that then a bid of £30 comes in from a rival club - what are you supposed to do? - say no of course. Tell suarez that Madrid are prepared to pay £90m for bale but not even £45m for him - tell him he CAN go, if  a non-english club bid over £50m  - even say that in the press so the whole world knows he is available and then sit back and wait and watch his reaction when noone comes in for him -

Agreed. The last thing I read on the matter (will post later) suggested the contract was very watertight.

In any other situation I would fully back getting rid of a player but in the instance I hope we stand firm and hold him to his contract until a foreign club come in for him.

The fact still remains that strengthening a direct competitor for 4th place makes no business sense whatsoever.

There is no official reaction from the club as yet, and until I hear that I will make no judgements.

If this is on the basis of a handshake with the manager then it is not legally binding. This is after all a business and Luis is under contract. He signed a new contract 12 months ago and it's obvious that he feels some sort of clause is in there.
When he first came to the club he had a reputation for being difficult, taking a previous club to court and his on field antics made me concerned, however I will admit to falling in love with him as a Livepool Player because he wore the shirt and also because of his displays on the pitch. No one cam say he has never given his all.

However the mess with Evra and the biting incident have made me see the frailties in his character, and along with these comments I am starting to doubt whether I would want him at the club anyway, regardless of what he brings to us on the pitch.

These comments, regardless of their truth in fact I think will make his position with the club untenable anyway as he has accused the manage of being a liar and will make any working relationship very hard. He will never be worth this much again in his career and now may well be the time to cash in and reinvest while we still have time to source a good replacement. Luis cannot be replaced like for like but we can find a player to fill his shoes.

However like I said I will await a response from BR and the board, but at present to be frank I don't want the little ***** littering up our great club with this attitude. He needs to grow up and get on or out in an official transfer request.

That outcome would be sweeter than honey. But to be honest, I don't think Liverpool can finish in top 4 without Suarez esp. if the rat is now at Arsenal.
