of course we think Suarez would make a world IX, we think he's world class because we're Liverpool fans. that's what supporters do.

take note

Does that count when you're talking about all Liverpool players then ? Or do you pick and chose when it suits

Suarez maybe a world class player but there are certainly players I would have instead of him

hmmmm..

Ben Smith ‏@BenSmithBBC

Was around 3am in Boston when that tweet appeared on John W Henry's account. He has been hacked twice in past few months

Not saying it isn't genuine, of course, but just seems a little out of character ...

Seems about right - it's a very funny comment but very surprising for him to tweet that.

Why surprising? Are you his friend?  ???

So you wouldn't swap Suarez for anyone ?

you know what, thinking it through a bit more I probably wouldn't. He's right up there on his day with the best and I actually have grown fond of him . a shame he has his dark side but from a pure footballing point of view I'd stick with Suarez because he's become a little genius world class player while he's been at Liverpool. swap him for Ronaldo ? no thanks.

So you wouldn't swap him for Messi or Falcao or Cavani

Well I would - in a flash.

so what if you would, thats your look out. I wouldn't, thats my own thoughts. I think he's as good on his day than them, he might not score 3 goals a game or whatever crazy amount messi gets but he still scores goals. as for Cavani, I watched him in the conf.cup recently and I wasn't impressed at all.

Either way we are going to have to replace soon anyway - his body language was screaming "I want out"

Agree his body language was awful, I just dont see why he would want to go to arsenal, ok they are in CL but what have they won recently, absolutely jack sh!t

So he's off then? Get Soldado and Eriksen in. If he doesn't want to be here then b0llocks. Just call Real and get them to gazzump Arsenal, they've got £30m plus lying around
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

Being in the CL is seen higher than winning trophies

Rather have these two now, than Suarez for another season at most.

Then we could sell Skrtel for around 8m + the 5m we got left from Suarez' sale we could have enough money for a new quality CB. Our net spending will be 0.

And yes, I love playing football manager. (jokes aside though, this is pretty realistic IMO)

I think you clearly underrate Suarez if you would swap him for those two. Whilst they both are great players, would they make a world XI?

Suarez would.

I think the way that FSG and the team are managing this is perfect. We have a value we would sell at, reportedly at a minimum of £50M, and we will not entertain offers below it. Even then I think we would be realistically only willing to sell abroad. The reality was that, take out the last 5/6 games, last season Arsenal were Sh*t. They are our target team for 4th this season (can't see Chelsea getting weaker under Mourinho TBH) - in what world does strengthening your direct competitor for CL qualification this season make any sense?

Keep it up FSG and Rodgers, great work.

Update: Anyone just see John W Henry's tweet -

What do you think they're smoking over there at Emirates?

The players I mentioned are world class players and that's a fact. Eriksen is a young, 20 assists per season player while Soldado is an experienced striker who, if supplied well, will score lots of goals. They're not as good as Suarez of course (hence why they cost less), but the both of them combined would still have a massive impact in out team. Don't get me wrong mate, if Suarez wanted to stay I wouldn't be saying this, but he thinks he's too good for us and he is going to leave, and the players I mentioned would be fantastic replacements. So, a combination of two good players that would strengthen the team in overall, or a want-away striker? I know which one I would rather have.

I think you got me wrong. I would never sell him to Arsenal (as I've said previously), a direct rival for 4th place. Higuain to Napoli is almost a done deal, and Real will need a new striker. I'm sure they'll come after Luis. Arsenal have done us a favor actually. Since they have bid 40m, Madrid will have to make a bid above that.

I'd have him before Falcao or Cavani. Remember you can put more than one forward in a world XI
