It wont be a surprise if he leaves in the summer - he wants to play in the top comps alongside the best players in the world

if someone has got their heart set on going there`s not much you can do really, i suppose you could hold them to their contract and hope they`ll respond in the right manner but there are a lot of pitfalls when you go down that road (especially if the players form isnt great, things can get very messy if the crowd start to think he`s not trying)
at least if luis does leave we will get top dollar for him and we`ll have some sort of chance of replacing him, it`s when you get a situation like the owen one where you are left in the lurch thats when you are really f##ked.
could be a pivotal summer this one, it`s not beyond the realms of possibility that we could see suarez, agger, reina and skrtel all leave the club in the next transfer window. we`d get a hell of a lot of money for them mind.

It will be one hell of a bidding war for Suarez put it that way and whilst there's a reasonable
chance we will lose the player I can see this starting at £40m and it could end up anything
after that if these big money clubs really want the lad.

you couldnt replace him with just one player, you`d have to bring in 3 or 4 players with the money you`d get for luis and hope that the team as a whole improved.
for example bring in diame, benteke, michu and ben arfa.
maybe even bring xabi back from spain.

Easy we do what we did after Torres. Buy a striker who will probably develop into a top player.. and a few average players to make it look like we are pushing for top 4. Then when that new striker hits the heights ala Torres and Suarez we sell him and do it all again in 3 years.  It's like de ja vu at LFC these days.

Just as well really as we are in debt so it can help pay off that.

Common tell me you don't really believe that Suarez is so in love with the place that he would turn down playing in the champions league on higher wages with world class team mates? Because carrying a struggling team to reach 4th spot is so important to him?

The first decent bid that comes in from Barcelona & he is gone.

I'd love to play hard ball & force him to stay but it's not North Korea, damn free will is annoying.

Wouldn't blame him if he leaves. No one should.

If he continues with his goal scoring spree and looking world class with his sublime skills, I am certain all the Barca, RM, BMunich will come in. Lucky he made enemy with manure otherwise if they signed him, that would make the blood of every Liverpool fan boil. To me, it is a forgone conclusion that he will be gone in the summer. For those who doubt it, put yourself in his shoes, would you go? Anyway, I agree that we cannot replace him with one player, like replacing Keegan with Dalglish. We need to squeeze as much millions as possible from those rich b*stard clubs and use that to fund the signings of a DM, CB, playmaker and another striker, (please Brendan, no more Borinis, Allens, Carrolls). This will the silver lining on the dark cloud.

Guys just a question in all of this.

You all seem to be saying the same thing "wouldn't blame him if he leaves" etc.

Would you actually be angry with the club, it's management and / or our manager if he did leave?  ???

Never heard such a load of tosh in all my life.

There no more commitment to a contract, no loyalty to club, fellow players and fans? Is he not able to take on the challenge of fighting for a cause, to gel the team into a world class unit, he's 25 years old but is going to jump ship and 'no one should blame him' ? Feck me, are you a retard?

I don't understand you lot, the first sign of a rumour of a 'supposed' comment made by a lad who's said countless times he's happy at Anfield and you just roll over and accept he's history?

Makes he sick it really does. Go support the Bitters, they're miserable tw@ts as well.
