you borrow the money and pay it back with the clubs profits, hence you pay for it. Want me to draw you a business plan, or will another IF situation arise?

What club profits ?

How do we buy players if we are using our profits to pay off a loan for the stadium ?

Then again, we might not get AVB...we might get someone else, but we'll have to wait.

I thought you said AVB was the one...I just twittered everyone AVB was a sure thing because all the journos get the inside info 24hrs before the rest of us[/quote]
i'm not a sports journalist dear, so don't take my word for it  :D

I reckon FSG will try and get as much sponsorship as possible for the stadium. I wonder if Standard Chartered would be interested? I wouldn't mind our new stadium being called the Standard Chartered stadium.

I'm just wondering how many of Chelsea's signing were actually AVB's? It's a well known fact that Roman likes to purchase players he thinks Chelsea needs, he's the one who brought in Shevchenko when Mourinho was manager and he was the one who brought in Luiz and Torres when Ancelotti was manager. It was evident by Carlo's body language when asked about those two targets that they were not his targets. Romelu Lukaku had been on Chelsea's radar three years prior to AVB becoming their manager. Let's not kid ourselves here, Benny, it is Roman who makes a majority of the transfers in and out of Chelsea. The manager is just there to ensure these players play as a team and win matches. AVB took on too much, too soon, he went into a club with ridiculous expectations and an owner who undermines the manager at every turn.

A manager doesn't go from being a good one to a poor one, just because of one sour appointment.

AvB has had two seasons as a manager - one at Porto and did well at a club that always does well and then struggled at Chelsea.

Was he a one season wonder ?

You see, with CL football, and the club being run correctly, we will make enough money to pay for our new ground AND buy players. Hence why a TOP 4 FINISH is vital for our development.  Boom, there you go...

He's actually had three seasons as a manager and he is young, he can improve, for sure. I'm not suggesting he is the finished article or indeed the right man for the Liverpool job. I am however defending him against harsh criticisms from his hellish time at Chelsea. You can argue he is a one season wonder, maybe you're right, but he achieved a fantastic feat at Porto and I am sure he will go on to become a great manager.

poor Arsenal...brand new ground, regular CL football and a manager who works hard to adapt to the modern game.  I bet they would swap all of that for a league cupwin  on pens against Cardiff

Arsenal's trophy draught might have something to do with their egotistical manager who refuses to change and adapt his philosophy of building an entire team from his youth academy. Wenger might be brilliant for Arsenal's board of directors in terms of his money making abilities, but it is clear he's lost his passion for the football side of things and is enjoying his 'job for life status'. Arsenal not winning a trophy for 7 years has nothing to do with the Emirates stadium, it has everything to do with their manager.

Oh I know what your talking about but currently it's not reality is it, currently it's a pipe dream with no guarentees of any of what your suggesting happening.

18 months and we have nothing about a stadium.

The owners think they can achieve CL football etc without dipping into their own pockets - no chance. If they can't afford to buy top players without selling players then CL is decades away.

Have you seriously not thought about the negatives we could currently be facing

He managed his first team, the British Virgins Islands aged 21. He then spent time with Mourinho at Chelsea as a coach before leaving to puruse a career in management. His first managerial job came in the summer of 2009.

Their supporters want silverware in the cabinet though! I have seven or eight Arsenal supporting mates and they would have loved to have won the Carling Cup or FA Cup this season.
