The Big Bang Theory must be the funniest show ever... It always cheers me up to watch it. HIMYM is getting sucky this season. All their personalities are now mixed up and they all have similar jokes... The characters are non longer unique anymore... Lost its appeal for me...

Beginning to regret reading all the books, it's spoiling some of the enjoyment for me, 1st episode of the new season has just skipped past loads of stuff  :(

@Mags re Big Bang Theory. Never seen the show until the other day (went for a haircut and the Barber had it on his TV) a good laugh, came home and DL'd the first season   :)

Cant say that's its a big downer for me because I was getting a little frustrated at how drawn out the Game of thrones story is going in the books  and I had  already accepted the series wont be able to cover that scope.
Though only time will tell whether the  TV series can cope with giving enough air time to adequately convey each story ,  now that so many characters are spread out across the world

Big bang is brilliant especially the first three seasons

Must admit there were times when the author ***** me right off, his habit of hooking you on chapter on a character's situation and then buggering off elsewhere for six or seven chapters before returning to the "meat" drove me up the wall.  :veryangry

LOL yeah I know Woof and final straw for me was when Feast of Crows didnt even feature some of characters I was most interested in.
I havent got round to reading the fifth one yet, waiting to read that when I go on holidays in July.
I pity the poor buggers who were hooked on this book series from start, what is now five years between books    :D

Mate, seriously, don't spoil your holiday , buy a phrase book and study the language of whatever country it is your visiting, believe me you'll feel better for it.  :nod

p.s. If you're visiting an English speaking country the above still applies.

Finished homeland season 1, pretty good. I like the story and it's very similar to 24. If you are into conspiracy shows, terrorists and CIA stuff you will like it

Couldnt get into homeland, bit too much conspiracy for me.

It was recommended to me to watch a series called "flashpoint" which is about a canadian tactical response unit. Theres about 7 seasons all in.

Tbh it had promise, but after the first season i was bored ! Too much hostage negotiation and things generally going well. You got these bad ***** operatives who are pretty much carrying around enough weapons to start a small war and every episode seemed to end in a dull hostage negotiation.

Lots of guns, little violence, not much action.

Mind you im watching off the back of "the shield" so am spoilt
