Pretty dubious source and sounds like nonsense TBH. I think Juve got him on a 2 year loan with a cast iron obligation to buy (for accounting purposes I assume). Juventus is the pinnacle for Italian players so can't see him wanting to move on anytime soon and can't see Juve being willing to let him leave.

Interest in Xherdan Shaqiri expected to ramp up this week.

Sevilla, Villarreal, Lazio and Napoli among clubs to express interest. Liverpool ready to do business at the right price.

Xherdan Shaqiri likely to be the next outgoing from #LFC. Wants to leave and #LFC won't stand in his way if right offer is tabled. Looking for around £12m. Lazio/Napoli both keen. Liverpool's 12-month option means he's effectively under contract til 2023.

Jürgen Klopp is 'set to make' brutal Liverpool transfer call, and it would be the right one
Jürgen Klopp has reportedly made it known that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain should be cut loose this summer, with only two years remaining on his current Liverpool contract.

Reports suggest that the attacking midfielder could be sold this summer, with his contract having two years left to run.

The club are in the process of deciding who they want to remain at the club for the foreseeable future, with the likes of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mané, Roberto Firmino, Alisson, Jordan Henderson and Fabinho all having their contracts expiring in the summer of 2023.

With this being the final summer when the club can feasibly gain good value from offloading many of the aforementioned players, big decisions will have to be made by FSG and Jürgen Klopp over the next month.

But it seems, according to certain reports, that Oxlade-Chamberlain’s future has already been decided, with Klopp reportedly feeling that the former Arsenal player’s time at the club is over.

The 27-year-old joined the club in 2017 for around £35 million, but has really struggled during his time at Anfield with injuries.

The turning point in his Liverpool career came in the Champions League semi-final first-leg against Roma at Anfield, when he suffered a serious cruciate ligament rupture inside the opening 20 minutes of the game.

He spent a year on the side lines, and, as often the case with injuries of that nature, never looked the same player again.

He missed the majority of the following season, but returned for the 2019/20 campaign and made 30 league appearances, but only 14 came as a starter, usually as one of the three in Klopp’s midfield.

Last season, Oxlade-Chamberlain missed the first 10 games of the season through injury, but when he returned in December, he scarcely played for the remainder of the season, clocking up a mere 244 minutes of playing time in the Premier League.

It’s perhaps almost inevitable that the club would try to move the player on, rather than extend his contract for several more years, given his limited playing time over last season and his unfortunate inability to remain healthy during a season.

West Ham has been mooted as a potential destination for the player, but it’s reported that The Hammers would only like him on loan. This in all likelihood won’t appeal to Liverpool, as they’d like an outright sale. However, if the deal was initially a loan with an obligation to buy in a year’s time, this could be a viable workaround: Liverpool need to sell players before they can make offers for any of their transfer targets.

At 27, there is still time for Oxlade-Chamberlain to turn his career around and find regular playing time in a new-look side. There were moments of greatness from him in a Liverpool shirt, a reminder of the player he was before that injury in late April 2018.

The club is making the right decision by allowing him to go this summer. A contract renewal was always unlikely, and if he stays another year and hardly features, Liverpool’s chances to recoup a portion of the transfer fee they paid for him significantly diminishes.

A permanent departure could well be best for all concerned.

****************

No brainer, he was always injured at Arsenal and when we bought him many questioned his fitness record which turned to be very valid. Can only really replace him with a homegrown player as we are at the limit.

Don’t see Ox going anywhere unless he is pushing for it himself.

In his first season he was fit until that horrible injury in April against Roma in the semi-final. He featured in 32 out of 38 leagues game.

His second season was a write off as he recovered from that horrible injury.

He was available for most of his third season and featured in 30 out of 38 league game.

And last season during pre-season in August he picked up an injury that kept him out until December and was then pretty much fit for the rest of the season. But as Klopp has explained, with all the instability at CB, he was reluctant to rotate at fullback and midfield but he expects to use the likes of Tsimikas, Keita, and Ox much more this season.

Ox is a very useful homegrown squad player who can play a number of different roles and I don’t see him going anywhere unless he decides he wants to be more than a squad player.

Think having van Djik, Gomez, Matip and Konate will definitely make us stronger!

We don't yet know how Virgil and Joe will return, the Ox still hasn't regained his pre Roma form and his injury was 3 years ago. Other players like Martin Kelly never ever recovered. If Virgil and Joe pick up where they left off it will be a minor miracle.

For Klopp to say he was reluctant to rotate at fullback and midfield is strange since ox was a FB that converted to midfield and he still couldn’t  find a place when Trent got injured and was looking tired. We needed midfielders last year when our midfield were playing in defense an he still did not really feature, which means Klopp did not trust him. Sometimes you have to cut your losses but since Ox is a home grown player he may have more uses, maybe why he would stay. You say useful but he is not playing at fullback and he cannot play the Firmino role so all that is left is playing in a three midfield with Fabinho and Thiago which means he has to play the Wijnaldum role and that is not really his game.

Not quite sure what the plan is this transfer window. Renew some contracts? treat injured players coming back as new signings? Don't replace Gini and give a youngster a chance to shine and cross our fingers?

I was praying for atleast one big name to come in and shake things up.. if we stick with the squad we've got then I honestly think we'll finish behind both City and United.

At the moment we can’t register any non home grown players into the squad so I suspect we are waiting for some players to leave

Reports in the papers saying Saul is in England finalizing his ManUre switch. They are doing what they always do, throw 200 million at it.

We are definitely operating at the limit. Our core 25 man squad is listed below with those in bold the 17 that are non home grown.

3 goalkeepers: Alisson, Kelleher, Adrian

8 Defenders: van Dijk, Gomez, Matip, Konaté, Trent, N Williams, Robertson, Tsimikas

7 midfielders: Henderson, Fabinho, Thiago, Keita, Ox, Jones, Milner

7 Attackers: Firmino, Salah, Mane, Jota, Shaqiri, Origi, Minamino

I think exits wise we are hoping that Karius, Phillips, Ojo, Woodburn, Shaqiri, Origi, and Minamino, all find moves. But it's 2 from the last 3 that is probably key to bringing in a midfielder and attacker to push the squad on.

Elliott will take Shaqiri's role and we'll probaly hang on to Ben Davis and Rhy Williams as emergency cover rather than loan them out.
