He seems to be much coveted by other teams and this lad looks definitely one for the future. It's all over Liverpool media sources for those who can't find any info

In this day and age anything under 5mil is a punt. Well worth taking them too.

He's already played 20 odd games so you could see him floating between the academy and first team and Klopp will see how he develops.

Klopp found Robbo for just 7m, so there are bargains to be had out there.

We don't neccessarily have to pay top wack for the best talent.

Frankly I trust Klopp’s eye for a player

Van den Berg' is a really promising player, but it'll take a monumental effort to beat Bayern to him.   


But we have Klopp, so of course he'll sign

Yeah read a good few of those reports and all seem to speak highly about him. Looked at some of his highlights as well and he looks smart enough but they aren't called "Highlights" for nowt  Hopefully he signs and goes on to eventually be a starter someday. He would be coming to the club at a fantastic time and having his fellow countryman for inspiration gives him a perfect platform to succeed.

@Bungle... I really hope not mate!! Far too young to go straight in to the team.

Clyne could be off to Palace and Fekir apparently available for 27mil. Milan reportedly interested.

Seems like the biggest rumour this window will be "We aren't gonna sign anyone ! "

I’m not sure why it’s depressing- as the article says Klopp works to his own schedule and method and it’s one that has so far proven to be successful- are people going to doubt his judgement now ? There is no point spending for the sake of it - Klopp will buy who he wants into the squad and the right person , he has so far shown if that person isn’t available then 9/10 he won’t get a substitute, he works with small squads and he puts trust in the youth. I can hear the cries already because Klopp hasn’t spent £80mil on someone the paper highlights

Right we've just signed this 17 year old centre back,Van Den Berg, for £1.3 m, a punt really and just a prospect, but do you think he would feature in the first team this coming season, or play in the under 18's etc.

No BIG signings yet though.......

Depressing is right, it's not as if there aren't players out there who would improve us. IMO we are resting on our laurels.

Yeah, good signing this Van Der Berg but one for the future, we probably won't see him in action next season at all.

Unless we sell Lovren and instead of signing a replacement, we let this kid and Hoever battle it out for 4th choice CB.

17 is a ridiculously young age for a CB, I haven't seen the lad play but I'll be surprised if he gets anywhere near a prem/CL line up until he is at least 20.
