I suppose it's not done until we see him at Melwood holding up a shirt with his name on it but it does sound promising.

Klopp is apparently interested in Jerome Boateng to partner VVD and Bayern are willing to listen to offers at around £40m. That partnership would be the best Center half pairing in world football.

Apparently he's 29 and injury prone though, although saying that 29 isn't old for a CB.
CB's are at their best between the ages of 28-32 but a lot of them can play on at quite a high level until they are 34/35.
We'd at least get 3 good years out of him (which is quite a long time in football) and by then the likes of Gomez might be ready to step up to the plate.

Yes maybe, but FSG are not going to pay £40m for experience.  Got to remember it's not only the fee, you also have to factor in Boateng will be after a decent longish contract at his age with decent wages.

I think Klopp prefers bringing on younger players anyway to be honest.

I hope we do get the Fekir signing, or at least one more attacking midfielder, then I will go into next season with a bit more confidence.

If not, is Fabinho and Keita enough!?

Does the Keita signing count as last years as far as the FFP is concerned?

I think if we get Oblak (89m) Fekir (60m) Boateng (45m) and Dembele (1 year loan) we would surely be favourites for the league. That 11 would blow City's out of the water.

Nabil Fekir and his agent will be travelling to Liverpool tomorrow to finalise the deal and then hopefully complete a medical. It's looking good guys.. hopefully we get it all sewn up before the world cup.

If we get Fekir sealed will have one hell of an attack and mid.
