FFS I am beginning to become sick of this transfer window. I usually enjoy all the rumours , wheeling and dealing etc, but this is just getting beyond a fkn joke now.

We are willing to pay WELL OVER THE ODDS for two good prem players and we still get loads of hassle. No wonder Rafa prefers buying from abroad.

How in the hell have Liverpool done anything wrong .... I know Fergie had a bitch fit about real's current situation on Ronaldo but then he decides to go and do it as well ( idiot ) and has the nerve to say he put a bid in and over time he will come because its man u ( who could reject THEM ) ....

But Rafa said he likes robbie ( dnt know if he said anything bout puttin a bid in for him ) and thats it ... I laughed at this when liverpool were involved and i hope that the PL will dismiss liverpool from the whole situation ( but i think manu were totally wrong to do it )

Not sure where Spurs are going with this. It all depends on what evidence they think they have. If they can prove both us and Utd have spoken to the players involved then they have a case.

I dont like to see Rafa when asked at press conferences actually say he wants a player. Just say "The player is talented but his contracted to another club"

I didnt like Gerrard publically saying he wanted Barry either. We all know tapping up happens and will always happen just dont talk about potential signings when a fee has not even been agreed.

Keane is a good player no doubt, worth 20 million no way. Mind you seeing that we paid 10 for Kuyt Spurs are well within there rights to ask for 20 if thats the case.

But Barry and Keane combined at the speculative price of 40 million ..... Never, but good enough for Liverpool FC, I think so. Throw in Voronin, and Yossi Rafa you may just get the asking price down.

If their stupid enough to except Voronin :laugh:

Two VERY good players that will be an asset to our squad!Ok not the most romantic signings but better than a alot of shi'te out there,they will fit in and play well with the squad!

Tell me why you are not excited by Keane or Barry?
If they were coming from Milan or Barca would you feel different?
I would cause they would be a risk then...thes are 2 PLAYERS and two excellent players that will do well at LFC!
I dont need to say any more,they are signings by Rafa(if they come off) that are proven in our League!

Two good players that have been CONSISTANTLY above par in the League we want??See the idea?

If it does'nt work..kill the boss,because he will be dead anyway!

Two very good players Barry, but are they worth £40 fkn million ? We could get Villa and Silva for £40million or Eto'o and Van der Vaart, even Arshavin and Aguero if we thow in Voronin and Benayoun.

Maybe they aren't prem proven mate, but then again Bellamy, Zenden, Pennant and Benayoun where, while Torres wasn't. Its always a gamble, but if you have to gamble I prefer gambling on top quality.

Its Chess time its who wants and needs,who buys first.No big 4 team has bought big yet this term!
Its almost as if they are all waiting on another to make a move and that will decide the value.

Mention all the foreign players you like but not one of them will be coming near LFC lad!

It depends what you want and what you are looking to achieve.
To me it is Rafa saying all out that he wants the League!

I dont think we should be forking out 38 million pound on two 28 year old players whos value will drop.
Its not like we would get 20 plus 18 million back for these two if things didnt work out.

I like Robbie Keane but he has already turned us down twice for a start and there is noway on earth him nor Barry are worth what their clubs are valueing them at.

Both players will improve us no doubt but will we win the league with these two I doubt it.

As saint said 38 million will get you Villa, Eto, Arshavin, Podolski, Silva etc

Its feckin criminal when lampard can leave Chelsea for about 8 million and Barry is valued at 18 unbelievable.

Plus SWP is available for 6 million better than Pennant we should hijack Arrys bid.

With us not being able to sell Xabi - I'm quite certain we could only afford
Barry or Keane.
If that was the case - I'd take Arshavin

You guys are in cloud fecking cuckoo land sometimes. There is no way we could get Villa for anything less than about £30 million, and the reason Arshavin hasn't gone anywhere yet is becuase a) he wants to go to Barca and b) he would cost more than £20 million as well. I would like to see Silva though but for me if we can get Keane and Barry with proven experience and talent for £38 million then it is very good business. You can't think about players depreciating in value otherwise we would have to sell Stevie immediately and probably Carra as well otherwise we'll be loosing money
It's stupid to say if they are so good why aren't other clubs going for them becuase other clubs might need to strengthen in other areas. Man Utd are already incredibly strong and the only reason they want Berbatov is to get a big name signing this summer, statisticly Keane is almost as good a striker as Berbatov and certainly works a hell of a lot harder.

Saint generally I respect your views, but call me stupid if you want, but I'm ptretty certain Rafa amongst other managers in Europe looked at Villa and balked at the hefty price tag that seemed to go upwards of 30 million, as does that of Aguero and even that of eto if rumours are true, and considering ronaldinho went for 16 million(allthough with clauses regarding qualification for champs league it exceeds 20 million) this isnt hard to believe. I know realistically you can probably knock a few million of these quotes, but still it makes the combined totals upwards of 50 million at least.Add to that the phenomenal wages they will demand, eto rumoured to want well over 100 thousand a week, and suddenly these arent such financially viable tranfer targets. Also Villa has publicly stated he doesnt want a tranfer as has Silva, so why is everyone still obsessed with these players when we simply cant afford them and the clubs dont seem to want to sell especially not to us for peanuts. Think people need to realise that we are :censored:

poor at moment cmpared to some other clubs and we are having to do dell boy style wheeler dealing left right and centre.Im sure me, you and Rafa would love to play fantasy football with monopoly money but lets face facts we are the greatest football club in the world owned by two tight :censored:

yanks, and everyone knows it, we are having to sell playersfor less than we wanted just to buy players we have targeted, and even then any decent players that will improve us are going to be from clubs of similar stature in football who wont let players go cheap or are facing losing their best players and therefore the same applies. One final thing is will the people who keep saying"but frank lampard is getting sold for 8 million therefore barry and keane prices are a JOKE" well Frank is two years older than both and has one year left on contract. WAKE UP PEOPLE we are greatest club in world cause of our supporters and our history, and we will get back to the top, but we are having to do this the hard way, there are no magical fixes, unless an abrahmovic figure comes in and gives us billions to play with. Chelsea and Man U currently can outspend us on one player, and then go buy another for same price again. chelsea have reportedly bidded 80 million for kaka, Man u bidded 25 for Berbatov, we are having to to pick up 4-5 players for prices that chelsea can bid for 1. We are going to have to be patient and bide our time and hope Rafa can pull off miracles cause this is what realistically it needs to break their stranglehold on title, cause we cant match them financially and afford to bring in the top players in world according to players on paper, we have to rely on good management, desire of players, a few risks in signing players that dont make the all star fantasy football world eleven and a whole lot of luck to win this league. Sorry bout the rant, but its been building up all summer lol.

David Villa wants to stay in Spain, Arshavin wants to play for Barca, blah blah blah
