Like I said I'll prob get shot down in flames for that post!

They havent halved his salary because he's the next Zidane have they?

Eject, eject !!

Clause in contract following their relagation from EPL.

I quite rate Larrson and reckon he'd be worth a pop at £3m - £5m.

Alan Curbishley looks set to join the race to sign Liverpool winger Jermaine Pennant according to reports coming out of the East London Club.
The English winger is believed to be valued at around £7million, and West Ham believe they can pip Blackburn to signing the former Arsenal player.
Pennant is a player that Reds boss Rafael Benitez would like to sell as he looks to raise funds to finance a bid for long-term target Gareth Barry. (Kop-tv.com)

Speaking of Rafa imitations.....How do I post an MP3 here, or is it possible ?
I stuck a link up this week to a podcast from a radio station here in Ireland (www.todayfm.com). I'm not trying to plug them or anything, but they have a sketch in the mornings on the Breakfast Show, where one guy imitates the likes of Roy Keane, Rafa, Wenger, Mourinho etc. He's bloody good at it too. A recent sketch had him go to town on the Robbie Keane transfer....I'll try to find a link. If I can stick the MP3 up, even better....

Kuyt 16 million
Voronin 6 million

That is just utter stupidity. Who is he going to find who are willing to spend that amout on those guys??

Does he want Barry or not?
If he does then Rafa needs to start getting serious and
start being realistic.

???   We know this because; i) Ian Herbert of the Independent came out inexplicably stating in an article that Voronin could be sold for £6m, and ii) The Daily Mail - near enough only the Daily Mail (as far as I'm aware) - decided to post an article stating that Rafa had placed a £16m price tag on Kuyt.

What I really, really don't understand is the readiness with which some people are prepared to believe reports such as these, using them as a basis to criticise.

Very well said.  :nod

you should all get off Kuyts back... he played very very well for us in the latter half of last year. He always gives 100% and his off the ball play has enabled torres to have the level of success he has had, obviously torres' class has been the major benefactor but without kuyt things would of been different. He enabled torres and gerrard to link up throught he middle. Maybe he isnt valued at 16million but what do u think hes valued at? 10-11 ???? as much as andy johnson?? come on guys, give the guy a break.

Back to the barry saga, if we have to sell decent squad players to buy 1 very good central midfielder then its stupid..... we already had 3... four including lucas and the other lads coming on well.. i forget his name atm. Id much rather see a wide player join, or not even a wide player just an attacking midfielder with a little imagination.

Is personally think ryan bable will do well for us as an atacking midfielder this year... he would work well on left torres centre kean right and gerrard sat behind. mascherana and alonso sat deep.

We paid £10 Mil which was to much and no way has his performances warrant his value going up on what we paid for him.

so u think keane will be value for money then do u??? he came for 20million+ and u expect twice as much  from him as what weve had from Kuyt do you?

mascheranos fulfilling his value is he.... wasnt he 20+?
And how much did we buy bable for?? surely based on performances what weve recieved from kuyt shows hes been worth 10million in comparison to other players weve bought over the years.
