Nothing concrete but, I have just been listening to the team news for today mainly the Portsmouth match. They mentioned that Sulley Muntari has been left out of the squad and there is a rumour that he is on his way to Liverpool ?

A replacement for Mascherano OR Sissoko maybe, as I said nothing other than a rumour  but maybe the funds are not going to be given to sign Mascherano, any thoughts on Sulley Muntari as a player is he someone you would like to see us sign ?

DiarioSport are reporting that Liverpool have had scouts watching the Venezuelan International in recent weeks and are considering making a move for the midfielder.

Arango has made 19 appearances for Mallorca so far this season, scoring 6 goals and he holds a Spanish passport which would smooth over the problem of a work permit for the South American star.

Best I can do mate :D

Arango is more what you'd call a creative second striker than a midfielder.

He has skill, but needs time and space to operate, I've seen him lost when the rythm of the game is high.

I think it would be a case of buying more options rather than definite solutions. But then, I was wrong with Torres, I can be wrong this time aswell. But he doesn't convince me for a big club, let alone Liverpool and english game.

Benítez defends his records and eyes £4m Skrtel

Andy Hunter

The Guardian

Rafael Benítez placed Liverpool's title credentials into stark perspective yesterday when he conceded the club are still playing catch-up with their main Premier League rivals.
The manager's admission came as the club stepped up interest in the Slovakian central defender Martin Skrtel - 23 and with Zenit St Petersburg - for a fee around £4m and Benítez mounted a firm defence of his reign, dismissing criticism that, after the home draw with Wigan that left his side 12 points adrift of Arsenal, he has not made significant progress in the Premier League in four seasons at the club.

70million, how much is that in real money?

Roughly translated, it says:

Liverpool is, according to what NRK knows, in negotiations with russian club Zenit St. Petersburg over Martin Skrtel.

Liverpool sign Scottish prodigy !

Liverpool have completed the signing of Scotland U 16 and Ross County winger, Alex Cooper in a deal thought to be worth about £100,000. The youngster has signed a three and a half year deal with the Reds. The son of former Aberdeen star Neale Cooper, Alex is said to have choosen The Merseysiders' over Premier League rivals Chelsea because of the fact that he was so well treated at the Anfield club.
