The Premiership - General Discussion

They dropped 2 points, and I'm sure that come the end of the season, little things like this can make all the difference (long way to go I know). I really think the Mwanckers will draw/lose a good few in the coming months. We've just got to take advantage starting tomorrow. We can push on and beat Cheaski by scoring a good few.

BTW, it was funny when Fergie lost it a little. He thought the ref should have awarded a penalty for the foul on Anderson?. His face was as red as ketchup.

It was interesting that the final whistle came within 2 seconds of the allotted 4 mins extra. I still believe that if the other managers have got any sense, they should keep banging on about how biased the refs have been in the past. They'll be sh!t scared to give them feck all if the other managers play it right. Wiley was very fair in the match today.

Is fergie getting charged? Went to deck the fourth official and came out with a torrent of abuse.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

In an ideal world - yes. In the FA's world - (sadly) probably not. I really think he should though after reading what he's said about Wiley, who by mosts accounts had a very good game today (and no, I'm not just saying this because the mancs didn't win :D).

There was justification for him to be sent off imo. Mike Dean must have a very thick skin - ive seen 'other' managers sent to the stands for much less.  :glare:

BTW the ref was 100% spot on today in every decision, apart from sending Richardson off,but he should have known better than to kick a ball away...silly boy!
Great match and UTD looked ordinary...cant wait to hear Fergie blaming the ref cause he was fair at OT for once...I bet the Alchie kunt doesnt do his post match interview..anyway they dropped 2 and hats off to Sunderland!! :)

I've just read Fergie's comments, whos betting they charge the officials over Fergie eh?

Ferguson: Furious with referee

Sir Alex Ferguson has hit out at referee Alan Wiley, accusing the Staffordshire official of "not being fit enough" to do his job.

Wiley, the fourth official for last month's controversial Manchester derby, was in charge at Old Trafford on Saturday as an injury-time own-goal from Anton Ferdinand salvaged United a point against Sunderland in a 2-2 draw.

Ferguson claimed Wiley had not played the correct amount of added time because he had failed to add on an additional minute to the four already signalled once United scored.

Disappointed
"I was disappointed with the referee," said Ferguson.

"He didn't add on any time for the goal. He played four minutes and two seconds.

"He was also walking up the pitch for the second goal needing a rest. He was not fit enough for a game of that standard.

"The pace of the game demanded a referee who was fit. He was not fit. It is an indictment of our game.

"You see referees abroad who are as fit as butcher's dogs. We have some who are fit. He wasn't fit.

"He was taking 30 seconds to book a player. He was needing a rest. It was ridiculous."

Ferguson conceded his side did not play well and he was not happy with Sunderland's second goal when Kenwyne Jones outjumped Ben Foster to head home.

"It was a soft goal to lose," added Ferguson.

"Our passing was very poor in the first half. In the end we needed to show

some great qualities to get something out of the game on a day when we played really badly."

he bloody well should bav. Been looking over on the scum forum and even they're whinging that the ref never added another 30 seconds on for the goal scored, they're blaimg the refs for bottling it after all the City sh!te. Failed to mention any time being added for them scoring and no time being added on for City tho.

I cant stand that club Bav, everything it stands for boils my p!ss

If Ferguson doesn't get charged for this, we'll all know how afraid the FA are of him... Rafa get charged for calling the 4th official young and inexperienced, now Ferguson is saying the referee is unfit physically as well as unfit for the job which is even more of a direct criticism...
