The Premiership - General Discussion

Just catching the end of the Charity Shield. Both teams feel very established with core players who've played with the team for years. They both have a lot of quality, particularly Chelsea who seem to have top-class players in every position. They both are full of confidence and self-belief. Bottom line is, if my tenner's going to see a return (14-1) we're going to have a hell of a season. We're going to need some luck as well. We need a few more signings who click together (I'm hoping '87-88), we need Torres and Gerrard to stay fit, along with Cole, Aquilani and Agger. We probably need Inter not to sign Masch. We need our defense to play like they did in the second half of the season. It all feels rather unlikely, but footies a funny old game so I think this is our year!
