1934: TEAM NEWS Hull v Everton
Hull boss Phil Brown makes nine - yes nine - changes from the side that lost to Birmingham last Saturday. Matt Duke, Bernard Mendy, Liam Cooper, Peter Halmosi, Nick Barmby, George Boateng, Nicky Featherstone, Tom Cairney and Kamel Ghilas are the players to come in, while Kamil Zayatte and Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink must have done something wrong as they keep their places.

so nothing like their proper team

shame

wonder how much soul-searching and self-doubt the mancs, gooners and chels fans will do about their sh ite squads after narrowly beating their inferior opponents (at home) ?

tricky fixtures these CC games inthe early part of the season, with coaches managing their squad for the bigger tests to come - none of the CL  teams committed too many 1st teamers, hence the narrow victories for all  :D

Ah but the mancs and Chelsea are up there, haven't lost two games, clearly were way better than the scoreline against their opposition than we were blah, blah, blah. Did not Chelsea, Arsenal and the mancs all play their ties at HOME, two against sides not exactly setting their divisions alight

We got through without needing to fall back on our best players for too many minutes, progressed to the next round. We hopefully won't have to use half the players who were used much in the league, I'm betting the other teams won't want to uses their's either. The way some pundits go on about our second string you'd think the manc second string was in fact so good that if it were in the Premiership it would finish first or second.

I really hoped we were gonna make a bid for Dzeko in the close season. He's a very useful player....

Spurs V Bolton was a brilliant game, Bolton where unlucky it finished 2-2.

Manc meffs on now.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.
