I can't see us winning this cup. First off we need to reverse things against the Almighty Lille. Then face teams like Atletico, Marseille, Werder, Panithinaikos, and Juventus. To think the form we are in is able to answer that bell is an insult to the other clubs left in the Cup

We will still be in it after next week, An i should of asked this question to the Italian taxi driver who just brought me back from shopping , Had a crackin convo with him about us and Juventus , Sat talking with him for ages outside my house mad mad Juve fan from Turin, very knowlegable lad , He thinks we could be sharing a plane to Hamburg , at least hes got some faith in us ,

No.

Firstly it seems like the players don't really care about the Europa League. We don't have a team anymore - we have a group of individuals who just want this season to end so they can get on with their lives.

We have lost the will to play. Whether that is down to the manager who knows but im sure casting your minds back to a year ago and seeing our position compared to now is enough to bring anyone down moral wise.

Gotta smile at the "aspirations" of some on here, thinking the Euro Disney league is "something important" when we should be aspiring to winning the Premiership and Champions League. It's on a par with the Carling Cup, don't see too many grumbling at our lack of attempts to win that trophy :no

Makes me smile even more given the accolades Rafa gets for winning the CL and reaching another final, or credit for being in it every season since he got here, but perhaps it is being bumped up in some people's estimation because we're in it. Wouldn't want to play down the competition we've dropped into just in case we did win it. Like the mancs when they won the Carling Cup, a "mickey mouse" competition is "mickey mouse" whether you win it or not, to change your view of it based on participation or winning it is HYPOCRISY. And those too stupid to realise why I call it the Euro Disney league, take a day off. It needlessly got renamed and if you can't tie two and two as both mentioned in this paragraph then you've got more problems than I've time to run you through.

Don't worry folks, we may well be competing in this "important" competition next season, Euro Disney here we come! :laugh:

The tournament is a joke. Totally agree with. Getting to the last 16 in the CL holds more weight than winning the Europa League. Finishing 4th and winning this would still be a poor season.

I voted no to this , just can't see us winning anything at the moment. I do think we'll beat Lille , but we don't seem able to build on wins.

I would however be over the moon if we did win it , we'd be sticking two fingers up to all those journos who love to have a pop at us !!

Plus, I wouldn't say no to a trip to Hamburg for the final
