Bit worried about his injuries record, however he looks like he could slot right in.

Ah but is your goldfish a multi-millionaire footballer playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world as well as representing his national team.

Of course it could be his great personality  :lookaround

The midfielder is much happier with the way his physical problems are being handled on Merseyside...

I find that almost unbelieveable - didn't think a top Italian side would be that incompetent.  ???

Why isn't it possible? I find it unbelievable that our staff would have given Rafa the go ahead to sign him if they thought he was a long term risk.

Didnt say anything was impossible Bav - just that I find it a bit unbelieveable that the Roma staff were so incompetent.

I hear you but at the end of the day neither of us are able to say we were there so we really have nothing to base that on. I trust Rafa though. He knows what it is like to be reliant on a sick note (Kewell) so I doubt he would risk that again when we are aruguably at our strongest we have ever been under him.

I have a feeling Aquiliani will prove to be one of Rafas best signings.

Don't let the bitter feeling of Xabi leaving shadow the fact that we have aqquired another top class footballer. Sometimes you have to look at the bigger picture even if it means a loss in the short term.

Err, Im sure you're not getting me here Bav.

The post has quotes from Aquilani saying that he got sorted straight away at Liverpool
and that the medical staff at Roma "didn't help things".

It's from the horses mouth mate, so I really dont understand your "neither of us were there.." stuff. Strange.

What I meant is the only way we would know for sure if we were present by Aquilani's side whenever he recieved treatment. Otherwie we are just making assumptions.....

Anyway if the player says so let's give him the benefit of the doubt.

The player himself has come out and made these comments but to turn around and say you don't believe a top side would so such a thing is basically saying the player is talking :censored:.

Let's all just give him the benefit of the doubt and let him actually play for us before making such assumptions.

I think you've been smoking better green than me mate. :D

I believe what Aquilani has said - what I find hard to believe is that the medical staff at Roma could be so incompetent

Hope that clarifies  :D

Woaaa... chill guys... nothing new about Roma's injury problems with the physios and all..  not just that, many actually blame the manager for the player injuries  ..

heres a report i posted a few week back about their injury worries before a game...

Roma are struggling with a number of injuries to key players ahead of their Europa League match with Gent on Thursday.

The Giallorossi clash with the Belgian outfit in the first-leg, third qualifying round, at the Stadio Olimpico. Luciano Spalletti will have a selection headache though as he is unlikely to be able to field his strongest starting XI.

Romanews.eu claims Doni, Cincinho, Marco Cassetti, Simone Perrotta and Julio Baptista were unable to train with the rest of the squad on Tuesday morning. Those players worked in the gym with Baptista struggling with a muscular injury.

Alberto Aquilani and Juan had physiotherapy and their appearances are in doubt. Mirko Vucinic and Jeremy Menez trained separately from the rest of the squad also. Matteo Brighi is in doubt with a knee problem. The midfielder is unlikely to feature.

The second leg will take place on August 6 in Belgium. The winners qualify for a two-leg play-off round. Winners from the play off round make it through to the group stages in September.

****************************

If nothing else, just the fact that he played for Roma meant he'd miss a ton of games due to injury... Totti, Vucinic, Menez, etc were never injury prone... cant seem to play 2 games in a row in recent times...
