You're right and it was my fault, so I won't post about fascism in the football section.

Beliefs of not there is no excuse for such small minded thinking these days. These players are role models for the younger generation of kids who look up to them and personally I wouldn't want Mussolinis bitc.h playing for us even if he was a good player.

Makes sense though coming from Rome. Almost every white player is probably racists there. I remember Mihajalovic a few years ago, very sad.

i know why he did'nt choose to play for arsenal or chelski now,,

Quoting this because it seems to have been missed. He's not a fascist:

“My uncle is very keen on Mussolini and he gave me some things to do with him.

“I have a statue and a few photographs and portraits of Mussolini at home. But as for me, I don’t know anything about politics.”

Well would you call communists small minded as well? I think that extreme political views can be damaging but as long as he's not shouting his mouth off about it then who cares, doesn't mean he's not a good bloke, good player etc. I've got friends who are far left and far right and they are both top guys, just never discuss politics with them.  :D

The more games we play this season, the more I am coming to thinking that a title challenge could heavily depend on whether this guy is any good or not.

As discussed in other threads the midfield is the main problem at the moment.  Our options seem to be keep it the same, drop Gerrard back or hope Aquilani is the solution.

In the short term I'd drop Stevie back, but over a whole season I fear we'd lose some of our attacking strength, because we don't even have a decent centre forward to throw on alongside Torres instead.

If Aquilani settles in quickly and Benitez has got this signing right, it could save our season.  Even though it's early I have to admit I have some serious reservations about us challenging, let alone winning, the title from what I've seen so far.

I think there exists on this forum a substantial amount of threads ,were fascism  and racism could be discussed, without tainting a thread that has been structured solely on the basis of Aquillani's
football abilities.

Spot on mate.. I feel the same.. Our sucess this season will only occur if aquilani hits form and stays fit. If not then i doubt we will win the premiership. Time will tell i guess.. At the moment im just hoping until aqua man gets back we some how win our games and stay close to the top.
Seems like we all are waiting for the messiah or something. Lets just hope aquilani is the treasure we need.
