I have this report from a fan that followed closely Aquilani, and I would like to know if we have Italian guests that they confirm this view.
He says
Aquilani, be worried only for two reasons:
* He had a major falling out with Panucci in a training session (he has not an easy personality)
* He is a self admitted fascist (politically).
Injuries never allowed him to have a continuous spell in Roma. Anyhow, he has a very good reputation in Europe especially for that great match he played in the Santiago Bernabeu (he rocked apparently). He also made a great world cup when he won it with Italy.
Lots of skill, good long and short pass, a bit bloodless (not temperamental), and for what I've seen of Liverpool he'll come handy to you. He's a bit slow though, both running and executing the pass.

So, it seems the key will be to have him fit, because slowlyness might not be a problem if the skill is there as Alonso showed. I don't know what's going on in Italy these years, I know it shouldn't be important football wise, but I don't like self admitted fascists and in that country you hear that often as of late.
