Yeah I always though you were a selfish pr1ck, so you'd actually destroy the club for your own petty reasons. dear oh dear![]()

Would we support Liverpool if they were in Blue Square???
Of course we fecking would, it's about passion more than success.
and imagining if we had had no success, thats just stupid, it didnt happen like that.
please let the new season start soon

Scousers would support Liverpool without the unabated succession of titles and cups ,and be just as passionate and as loud ,how many people have started supporting Liverpool purely because they have witnessed the fanatical fans, and the passion of the Anfield crowd .

I don't think there's any question that there would be people--quite a lot of people--who would fanatically support the Reds whatever level of football they played. Of that I have no doubt. Equally, I would have no doubt that 98% of them would be Scousers bound by ties of family and geography to support their local club. Gone, however, would be the broad spectrum of support that comes from around the British Isles and from overseas. Undoubtedly, that prospect would please some Scouse supporters and sadden others but I think that would certainly be the reality of it.

It would sadden me ,if the overseas support was non existent as Liverpool should be a global offering ,the passion and heart of the fans and the club, is what after all makes this club so enticing to millions .

That's great to hear, mate, and I think it would be a shame as well. As I said earlier in the thread, it would be a logistical issue rather than anything else for me. If, perish the thought, Liverpool dropped three divisions in the blink of an eye I'd find it very difficult to follow them from afar simply because proper information would be so hard to come by--even in our internet age. In that sense, Liverpool's global support is a product of its success and that makes all of us non-Scousers glory hunters to some degree.But--and for me it's a big but--those of us who are not bound to follow the lads through familial or geographical allegiance have taken the decision to do so. We've somehow been drawn to Liverpool despite there being no shortage of other clubs around the world to support. I like to think that that connection gets made at the subconscious level and that it has a lot to do with one's character but of course I'd say that, wouldn't I?
