Even the papers who didn't back Rafa on this are made to look silly. On teletext it says Rafa has 'laughed off' Fergies comments. Anyone got his full response?

I havent seen in one/the same shot/camera angle, that Rafa is openly facing Fat Sam whilst making this gesture. To me it looks like he's facing the pitch.

So what are those who agree it is disrespectful (?) basing their opinion on?

They can't be basing it on anything reg becasue there is nothing in it. See the article below it's clearly stated there that Rafa was signaling to Alonso to take the free kick differently but he scored anyway so that's why he smiled.

Allerdyce and Fergie just look like muppets after this. If Utd end up losing tomorrow or even drawing Rafa should say something along the lines of 'Mr Ferguson had a big game avgainst Everton but he was talking about Rafa Benitez. I didn't know I was that important.

Not one manager has had the bottle to actualy come out public an have ago at Fergie, Hes been doing it for years, to other managers Wenger half heartedly had a little swipe a few years back, But not as full on as our Rafa, An i dont care if doesnt have a bevvi with the other manager after the game, Its not a social club hes there to win us football matches not gain brownie points with being in the boys club.

An Daws your right an all , the drunk is bricking it, he knows theres something special happening at Anfield an he doesnt like it one bit. :laugh:

I also have to admit that I've learned something new about English football in this thread. I hadn't got a clue that managers met after the game to talk or that it was some sort of tradition there. That's so strange here!!
