Ya know what mate I said 6-0 before the Villa game and I wasn't far off.  :D This time I wanted to say 4-0 but will tone it down from the start so I should have the score bang on.

If we score 4 or 5 goals again, the journalists and the mancs gonna be shi.te scared with us.

The reds are on triumphal march  :buttrock

Yeah I hope we keep the momentum going. btw Berbatov is out for 2 -3 weeks so thats 4 key players out for Utd. I hope Villa can get a result there too.

I see Drogba's injured - do you know if he's out for the first leg of the CL match Bav?

Nah to be honest I didn't read any of the evening papers on the way from work tonight. But one of the guys I work with, he is a Chelsea fan and he says he doesn't expect Drogba or Bosingwa to play against us for the first leg.

Im less worried about Bosingwa but if the Drogba bit is true that is a big lift. He was a real thorn in our side last year and ultimatley was the difference between us. On form he is for them what Torres is for us. It will be a tough 2 games that's for sure so I hope my mate is right.

I'll be happy with a last minute effort bouncin off Carra's a$$ and in off the post if thats how it has to be, tho whether I can manage the next 8 games in that way I honestly aint sure!! I sat watchin the Jocks on wensdy with 4 mins of injury time and a 2-1 lead and nearly wound up with a heart attack!

How good would it be to see Rafa put Dossena on lookin for number 4?? lol :p
Stu Averill, a wannabe Scouse/Scot. I remember the good times & have faith in them comin back

Beside the Hillsborough Flame, I heard a Koppite mournin, "Why so many taken on that day?" Justice has never been done. But their memory we'll carry on. There'll be Glory Round The Fields Of Anfield Road

Major doubts over Mascherano and Aureillo,Insua is on stand by, more than likely will play, probably Lucas for Mascherano.

Above from Gedo on RAWK. Also hinted that Babel may start instead of Reira.

Well the Arsenal people don't really have a view. They are just bitter they are way off the pace.  :D

But yeah the rest would prefer to see us win it over the mancs.

Apr 3 2009 by Ian Doyle, Liverpool Daily Post

LIVERPOOL are ready to gamble on the fitness of Javier Mascherano tomorrow – despite the midfielder having not yet returned from international duty.

Mascherano will only arrive at Melwood at lunchtime today after being on the receiving end of Argentina’s heaviest defeat in more than 60 years.

Diego Maradona’s side were destroyed 6-1 in Bolivia in a World Cup qualifier played in the thin air of La Paz nearly 12,000 feet above sea level.

In-form Liverpool will aim to pick up where they left off before the international break by moving top of the Premier League with victory at Fulham tomorrow evening.

And despite the lack of preparation and threat of jet lag, Mascherano is likely to retain his starting place given he is suspended for Wednesday’s Champions League quarter-final first leg at home to Chelsea.

Of Argentina’s surprise loss, Mascherano said: “For some of us, playing in the altitude was something new, for others not so much, but we can’t say that we lost because of the altitude.

“Our rivals played better and nothing turned out right for us.

“This should serve us as a lesson and it will surely consolidate the squad, who are very united and growing in every aspect.”

Liverpool are confident both Sami Hyypia and Yossi Benayoun will be available for the trip to Craven Cottage tomorrow evening.

Hyypia’s knee injury is not as bad as first feared while Benayoun emerged unscathed from a substitute appearance for Israel in their 2-1 defeat in Greece on Wednesday.

And with no further international breaks until June, Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard believes the Anfield outfit can now devote 100% of their concentration and energies on their quest for Premier League and Champions League glory.

“The good thing now is that we can put the internationals to the back of our minds and just concentrate on the run-in,” said Gerrard.

“The last three weeks have been among the most enjoyable in my Liverpool career and we want to keep that momentum going.

“We know that it is going to be difficult at Craven Cottage. They are a team that deserves respect; just look at what they did against Manchester United.

“Maybe because they don’t have as many internationals as us, they might be fresher than us. We know they will be up for it, they are chasing a European place so there is something riding on this game for them.”

I had doubts as to how "soon" Mascherano would return, I wouldn't risk him if he's not available for Wednesday. Give Lucas or whoever will play Wednesday a game, this may be a very important game BUT risking a not fully fit player who will miss the next (cup) game is just that - a risk. And it's not as if he's an attacking player that we'll miss badly in a game we must win. Probably wouldn't risk Sami either, if they attempt to outpace him then we might need a bit more speed at the back, last thing we need is him hauling someone down and seeing red.
