what a girl
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

Cassano is one of the biggest talents in world football today.. defo the best player (forward/ midfielder) in Italy and one of the best in the world for me... wouldnt say he's underrated as obviously most in the world know how good a player he is.. just that his off the pitch antics and his anger issues get him in trouble almost all the time... he's been much better in both aspects since his move to sampdoria and is basically carrying the team on his own.... cant be bothered looking up youtube videos or links to people suggesting he's the best in the world or any of that but i guess if you watch a little more of him you'd know what im talking about...

by the way he threw his shirt at a referee after getting sent off once... always cracked me up but imo theres no doubting the guy's talent..
+ he could play anywhere across the 3 attacking mid. positions we play or as a lne striker.... which is always good.. no ?!

I put Cassano in the same bracket as Ibrahimovic and Totti.  Players with massive reputations yet I've rarely seen them have a good game.

Wasn't Cassano a complete flop at Real?

Only professional to - play in goal (41 appearances), Defence, Midfield, Striker, and later be Director and then to be Manager (winning a Championship) - at one club

so what if they had a couple of bad games in Europe ?
if the quality is there, the quality is there... thats the end of it... if he can shoot, dribble and pass the ball in Italy, surely he can do the same in England, Spain or the moon ffs...
You dont get transfers to teams like Roma, Inter, RealMadrid, and Juventus if ur cack...
and how anyone can say that Totti of all people is overrated is beyond me  :no

Well I never said Totti personally but I do think Ibrahimovich is a little overated.

you mean in a sense he wasnt played enough by the manager when he was there... id say yes he wasnt the biggest of hits in Spain... but what about his time with Bari, Roma and now Sampdoria ?

the thing is though, Ibrahimovich doesnt get all the recognition he does for being a prolific goalscorer or a brilliant forward, id say he's hes a top class forward but what makes him worldclass is his sheer brilliance when on the ball.. technically one of the best in the world and can dribble and pick a pass better than almost any other forward around at the moment.. hes not the highest paid footballer for no reason...

Think away mate.  I've seen more than enough of them.

Three players that can turn it on occasionally but usually don't produce in the big games and don't have the mental strength to have any kind of consistency.
