If we don't win I won't be on here monday morning. This place will be like a warzone.

Can't see Masch playing this weekend...seeing as he was on the wrong end of a 6-1 hammering by Bolivia, at an altitude where he should have been wearing an oxygen tank !
I reckon he'll be out of this weekend's game...

What???   Get the lad to Melwood and put him on an oxygen rich airsupply for an hour and he´ll be as good as new. Hopefully he managed some pill-induced sleep on the plane then just like the other international duty lads he needs a hi-carb and vitamin infusion plus pure oxygen to clean his blood.

Failing that, 10 pints of brown over bitter will sort 'im out.

- he's bound to be tired, playing in Bolivian conditions won't help
- he may not be the best mentally after a psychologically damaging defeat

- he's set to miss the CL match, BUT you could either see the game at Fulham as a last chance to use him for a couple of games OR as a chance to give time on the pitch to the player who will take his place in the CL match.

I'd lean towards leaving him out, probably won't be up to it physically or mentally, and if he's going to miss the CL match then give Lucas or whoever a game ahead of their necessary inclusion in the CL

nice idea but Aurellio will get pounded in CM he ain't got legs for it.

I think the line up is close to what rafa will play tho only dif is lucus will be where Aurellio is.

knowing rafa like we do who would argue over him saving Aurellio for the CL game any ways ?

i'm confident we can continue our brilliant form of late, & with the majority of players coming back from the international break, having played well & scored too i generally think the players will be buzzing to play this game.

if we approach the game with the attitude we have shown lately, & the midfield contol the game especially the first 25 mins will be crucial fo me, create chances & keep stevie g in his free role, hopefully we will be able to dictate the game from there.

hmmmm....   Rafa would be quite literally crucified (and justifiably) by press & fans if in this "must win" game, he played a totally inexperienced midfielder at the ground of a team that has a better home record than ours...  :Oo:

blasphemy!  1-3.

agreed not on mate  :no

I'm sorry I am not a superfan like yourself who exects us to steam roller teams over. After the last twenty years I am not that naive in thinking we need to just turn up and win.

It's quit eeasy to becme a super fan u know Bam.. chill, believe and lets see where this season will take us ay - don't tell me u haven't got tha buzz back - of looking forward to the red machine comin to town  :buttrock

Thats the thing though Zara, I do believe, but I try to keep it to myself if you  get my drift. I hope and believe we can win the title, I just don't like tempting fate by saying we'll beat Fulham 4-0 or anything. I think it is naive and ignorant to come out and say things like this. Of course though I have just expressed how I feel in the run up to games, so there goes my quiet theory out the window.

1-0 to Liverpool it is then.  :D

:D That's the spirit Bam ..

Given recent results and the way the lads are feeling and playing - big margin win predictions are not ignorant or indeed arrogant, rather with the momentum and the adrenalin such results are possible.

I believe we'll beat Fulham - by whatever margin - and that Villa have good chance of containing the Mancs.. Villa will wanna re-group after the thrashing at our hands..

Whatever happens, the players believe Rafa is the man to take Liverpool forward and so do I..

The great thing is that at this time of the season so much is alive for us - so lets enjoy the thrill and nerves of the ride - a ride many of us would have wished for at the begiining of the season.

20 years since Hillsborough - lets mark it in style with dedication and respect !

we need Dirk Kuyt to continue his international form for sure......If one player comes back confident it must be him
Stu Averill, a wannabe Scouse/Scot. I remember the good times & have faith in them comin back

Beside the Hillsborough Flame, I heard a Koppite mournin, "Why so many taken on that day?" Justice has never been done. But their memory we'll carry on. There'll be Glory Round The Fields Of Anfield Road

who would of thought 3 weeks ago we would have another chance to go top of the league and yet 3 weeks down the line we have that very chance, we have to go out there on saturday and grab it with both hands, this is not the time for caution or resting players its a time for standing up and being counted, just like we have shown in recent weeks. people in the media go on about how manure have done it all before and will handle the pressure and you can see to a point where they are coming from, but how many times have they had Liverpool breathing down there necks, fergie constantly plays down the fact that he could match our record this years but you know behind closed doors that isnt the case, he wants it so bad its starting to get to him and the players.

come on redmen if them fookers want it then lets give them a fight they will never forget.
