For me it's still old school with , Anthony Hopkins, Ralph Fiennes, Jack Nicholson , Al Pacino and Jodie Foster.
I saw the Thin Red Line the other day which surprisingley I haven't seen. Brilliant film, and a really sad ending too.bavlondon wrote:I know it's an old film but I saw Apocalypto yesterday. Brilliant film! Love it!

The main guy does look like Ronaldinho tho which put me off, great film tho
, First movie mentioned in this thread, took this long (with a nudge from Daws) for me to realise it starred Ronaldinho .

Still I thought the sacrificial scenes were more indicative of people like the Aztecs or Toltecs. The Mayans did do that kind of thing but not on that scale depicted in the film. Also the Spanish arrived around 300 years after major Mayan cities were abandoned. There were some smaller cities though that were inhabited when they arrived. Still it's a great film. bavlondon wrote:Yeah it does look a bit like him.Still I thought the sacrificial scenes were more indicative of people like the Aztecs or Toltecs. Passion of the Christ was on last night too. Another quality Gibson production.
