Seeing David Moores sat with Parry today made me start asking some serious questions to myself. Do we the fans have trust in him now with the handling of the Thai/Morgan situation? He can see what the fans want but does he care enough about them to go along and give them the deal that they want? Its plain to see that Morgan's investment is now vital so the club can attract the biggest in Europe once again. This man has to act soon and give Benitez the funds to build a squad capable of challenging Arsenal in the next two seasons or its time for him to walk. Quite honestly im getting iritated by him with all this s**t.

I think with Moores it is all about pride and saving face.

He obviously loves the club, but because of this love his judgment is clouded.

We obviously need a serious cash injection and Steve Morgan is the man. Iif Moores could swallow his pride.

Steve Morgan is a true fan who only wants to bring the club forward and sees Moores living in the past.

He has always invested in the team and allowed the manager to get on with his job he should be respected for that. I can see why you are mad now red if you have started asking yourself questions did you answer them all as well or were they too serious. I dont know about anyone else but I would prefer to have Moores over an Abramovich any day. He is a football pimp and it would upset me to see the values of the club eroded by knee jerk decisions at board room level and the arrogance that is associated with him and his cronies. If football is just going to be about who can put the most money into a club then the sport is doomed and Im not really bothered what happens at the club ill go and watch some local amatuer teams instead. There is more than one route to success as Arsenal are clearly showing to all.

The fact is mynameisred is that that offer was on the table and it should have accepted to fund our new manager. I agree that money has soured the game but if we want to see that title back at Anfield again Morgan's money will go along way to us gettin closer to that dream. Take today for example. Sami goes off and who are we bringing on? Traore who should have been holding up a blue shirt this week. Chelsea can bring on Gallas in that situation. What the hell is going on? Dont get me wrong because i think Benitez will go a long way at Liverpool but he wont be taking any titles away from Highbury unless Moore's pulls his finger out of his a**e soon!

I do agree that there should have been a bit more flexibility by Moores in terms of the investment. If they both love the club then they should drop any other issues and use that as a base for taking the thing forward but hey what do I know about investments. We cant blame Moores though for the quality of players that GH brought in its not like the money wasnt there to spend it was just spent badly. Diouff cost the same as Henry, Diao cost twice as much as Butt. Moores had total faith in GH that was his ONLY mistake.

I don't think Moores has done a bad job since being at Anfield but we do need more money to compete with the big clubs in europe, I do trust Beni with cash more than GH, I think Morgan would be welcomed as long as he don't interfear with the manager!

What's with all this moaning about money? We've just bought Cisse, Alonzo, Garcia, Josemi and Nunez. How much did that lot cost? Where did that money come from? Give it a rest and give the team and the manager a chance. We've played three league games for goodness sake. If you had watched the team in the second division for eight years between 1954 and 1962 as I did you'd know which side your bread was buttered. A number of people on these forums need to grow up and attempt to understand the complexities of running a football club. David Moores has the best interests of Liverpool at heart and I am sure he has as much intelligence and business acumen as one or two of the people who are slagging him off. I'm sure his command of the English language isn't too bad either.

I think that lot came to about 37 million. Good point though.

however, we still need a really top striker to replace Owen.

Sinema this is not a dig based on this seasons performances. This is no dig at Benitez. This is to do with Moore's and his underachieving while he has sat in the chairman's seat. This goes back a long way. His constant backing of managers and not doing the proper thing in telling them their time is up also frustrating. How can you say leave him alone when he was happy to take the investment of a thai pm who liked Man Ure more than us. The fans are much more important and its plain and simple to see that the majority wanted Morgan's investment. Since he has been there the title has eluded us also. Believe me i want him to succeed but his stubborness might be the end for him?

You pri*k what do you expect him to do check the internet forums every day to see what the fans want and do that.

It's plain to see that LFC have just spent a lot of cash. Also Morgans only offering to put in 30mill for players. What do you suggest we do when that money is spent? It's not alot. How do you know what Benitez' transfer budget. We're not Chelsea or Man U but Moore's has always supported his managers financially. Also have you ever thought that Moore's might not want the world to know how much LFC are prepared to spend so we don't end up paying Chelsea prices? How much would Alonso have cost Chelsea?

Morgan also believes that LFC should be floated on the stock exchange. Not something that appeals to me.

Morgan wants Grounshare. Not something that appeals to me.

Maybe Morgan wants other things that don't appeal to Moore's. He's not just handing over 70mill for nothing he wants at least a say in running the club.

The Thai deal was embarrassing and should of been dealt with behind the scenes but Thinawatra lead the publicity drive.

What his backing of managers is frustrating. For a few seasons Evans looked like he might win the Prem. He had a team that played great football but just couldn't make the leap.

Similarly with Houllier is it surprising that he backed a manager that took us to an unprecedented treble and 2nd in the league. Again he couldn't make the final leap but if he'd been replaced in the middle of last season, when Moores and Parry kept there heads as all others lost theirs, we probably wouldn't have either Benitez or CL footbal this year.

True alot of fans would like to see money injected into the club we all love big name signings but most investment is short-term I'm much and it's short term cashflow management that leads to Leeds. I'm much happier with a Chairman who runs a tight ship and gaurds the future of LFC.

So what your saying is that he didnt think the fans wanted Morgan? Whos the p***K now? You just keep telling yourself all this bull about how Moore's can still take us forward? As for GH he was left dangling by a thread & was treated so unfairly! The man was unaware he was getting the boot until he heard about it at Melwood! What kind of s**t is that? As for that nonsense about checking the internet forums do you think i did this in the hope he would see it??

Do you not remember Morgan needing a police escort into the ground last season? The man was the peoples choice and Moore's should have come to a agreement for us the fans! Oh and by the way we almost have the permission for our new ground to be given the go-ahead so maybe Morgan might not want to put in now there is no groundshare??

at least it was good to see moores at the game yesterday. it was also interesting to see king kenny there. rumour has it that moores may have offered him a position on the board.

At the end of the day people can go on about how they like Moore's because he stays behind the scenes etc. All im seeing is other clubs making too much ground and its frustating me that in all his time at the club we have not won 1 league title. I knew when i did this topic that i would come in for stick but this is the way i feel about him now. Granted if things change and Benitez takes Liverpool places i will come back and apologise to everyone i doubted here. I also forgot to mention the Owen saga! Who was at fault there over all that? People were so quick to blame Michael himself when they should have been looking at a bigger picture!

i don't no abramovich
but he puts his money where his mouth is and brings in top stars from everywhere.
he always seemed to want Ranieri out and new who wanted to replace him.Jose Mourinho
well chelsea aint dropped a point yet (so whats their to hate, i would luv to be in their position)
If morgan wants to invest money in us, i say, let him, then we can bring in top stars and challenge for major houners.

Its silly when people say well we dont want a Abramovich type thing at Liverpool. One big difference to me. Morgan is a fan. He talks like one and would mean business like one. Also redulike said that Morgan would only pump 30 mill into transfers and where would that get us??? Maybe soon it could buy us a Campbell, Ferdinand etc. The bottom line is we need to start competing and we are miles away. Watch the splinters in that fence redulike!
