Thats a scary point mate.
Why not sell Torres then, if they are trying to cashin, why don't you guys stop making bullsh1t excuses for the manager, drag your heads out of the sand and smell the coffee, the club is in complete fecking turmoil, we have

senior mangement,

owners and a

football manager, please someone buy us and do a complete clearout of management and half the useless feckers who are in our squad and have the cheek to call themselves footballers!
But then wouldnt that be the board making the decisions in which you put up your argument?
Bit confused but what I meant was if they were trying to cash in, wouldn't our beloved owners have sold Torres.
New owners can install anyone they want to, that is kind of one of the perks of being an owner, isn't it??
Yes, and the decisions with the team are what are down to the manager they bring in. New owners getting rid of half the team doesnt help anyone.
I meant the new manager saying get rid of him, him and him etc, not the owners themselves.

The only question worth asking.
And unfortunately there is only one answer.

Who would be the new manager and how would he replace all these players you want to get rid off ? with Fairy cakes ?

On a slightly lighter note, I'd advise anyone that likes a bet to get their money on Keane to score against Arsenal at the weekend. You know it makes sense.

Ohhhhh.....
Just reading through this thread, wasnt this supposed to be about the memories we have off keane? I posted something a couple of pages back which I was pretty pleased with and has now got lost in the bickering !
Oh well...
Bill Shankly: “I was the best manager in Britain because I was never devious or cheated anyone. I’d break my wife’s legs if I played against her, but I’d never cheat her.”

Well of course there's nothing
we can do about it...we're all just bystanders to the train wreck. That doesn't mean we can't feel mighty hacked off about how it all played out. Sorry but I'm not yet to the point of shrugging my shoulders and saying 'oh well, I guess we'll just have to get on with it.' Not by a long way.

No probs with that Bob and can understand (when someone syas it more sensibly as opposed to coming on just slagging off the manager ) your thinking . i guess im just one of those people that will wait and see and reserve judgement .
With the greatest respect, there's no need to wait and see. We are taking a huge gamble for the remainder of the season, and what is there to wait and see about? As long as Torres stays fit, we'll probably perhaps maybe just get away with it. It won't make it right though.
It's akin to selling all our reserve goalies (might take a while I know but run with me on this) and saying lets just hope Reina stays fit, He probably will in truth as goalies normally do, but it wouldn't make the decision right.
The absolutely only debate that I can see, the only thing which is infact debateABLE is how much pressure if any the manager was put under to sell, how much of a financial consideration was it?
On the other stuff there's no need to "wait and see", to sell Keane without a replacement is palpably ridiculous.

Its the owners who receive any bids and ultimately its them who sanction any deals.
I dont think its that much of a stretch of imagination but like I say its only my opinion no need to get out your pram.
Not meaning to have a go at you but I'm just so fecking annoyed at some of the blind devotion on here when our club is going to sh1t before our eyes.
yet you want to take it back even further while we are in a position to challenge for the title plus the cl plus the fa cup ?
But we've just fu...c...k..in jeopardized that!!! Can't you fu...c...k...in see it!?!? Jesus Christ......Fu...c...k it if you can't beat em join em....
It's done now, nowt we can do about it, fingers crossed eh, off to read a book on Buddhism me...

Did Chelsea go backwards when they were bought? No, so drop that line of arguing GYBS it doesn't work ok. Why would we go backwards with a new manager or are you saying we wetn backwards when Rafa took over? I just don't understand your reasoning, plus how would new owners with more money than our current owners be a bad thing. Please I'm trying to figure out how your mind works because I think if I can do that then maybe I can figure Rafa out as well.

I wanted Tottenham to get relegated before the season started, and Keane going there hasn't changed my mind.
Bentley, Lennon, Pavyluchenko, Defoe, Bent, Woodgate, Bale all in the championship

I guess it would be interesting to know how much imput the owners had - even more so seeing as they are both over here at this moment in time as well . the first statement or press release from rafa will be interesting .

When are we being bought then ? you are talking about changing our manager ? where is all this money coming from that a new manager can use ? look at chelsea change managers and go downhill rapidly .
