Are you quoting anyone in particular ?

If your referring to anything i have said - imo its Rafas fault for not getting the most out of his expensive signing.

Its been done to death on here how it must have affected Keanes confidence to get dropped after scoring 3 goals in 2 games and then being left on the bench at home to hull for el zhar and lucas to come on when we needed a goal.

Yeah thats Rafas fault, deffo.

what about all the games leading up to when he finally scored ? when he couldnt hit a barn door from a yard ? it was a general comment - maybe some of the blame should also go to keane as opposed to blaming the manager ?

Rafa didnt seem to have a problem getting the most out of other expensive signings ? Maybe the problem is with keane ?

I dont think anyone thinks Keane is blameless.
His attitude as some have said is open to question.

But if Rafa spends 20 million on a striker for us thats huge money, we have to get it right.
When Torres got injured Keane should of been the person to fill the void.
Now Robbie definately wasnt performing anywhere near we or even he would of liked, but when there is no other top strikers available i think its down the manager to find a solution, after all he bought him only months earlier for this huge fee.
Also not bringing him on in games when we need a goal and we have Ngog and Kuyt as the options, well realistically anyone who thinks that is anything other than the manager being stubborn (due to something thats obviously gone on behind closed doors) is imo kidding themselves.

I really cant get me head round the way he has been treated, surely it would of benefit the club if he had played more despite the obvious behind the scenes problem.

He was in some good form in early season but he is not consistent enough imo.

Not sure if it's been mentioned on here yet but Jo has gone to neverton.

I think there is a mix up here....maybe when Rafa heard of the 15 million offer for Keane he shouted at Parry “Tell them to get bent!”  :D

I agree he was terrible in the derby at anfield, his worst game, but the strange handling/treatment of him started well before then.

Alls i am saying is the buck for me stops with Rafa on this, unless he gets big money back for Keane, then this signing is possibly the worst in the clubs history - not that i mean Keane is a poor player, the fact that he cost so much and the way everything has fallen apart between the two within 6 months.

All i know is we need cover for Torres or a right winger who can
add another dimension to our overall play if Torres was to stay fit.

Ino Torres doesn't know if he's gonna get crocked but yano  :D

as i said thou mate early on torres was rested or dropped and subbed early on a lot of times and look at the problems he has been having since being treated like that   :;):

Yeah rafa prob should of played keane more after he started scoring but also keane should of reacted in the right way and if he really wanted to stay should of fought tooth and nail like other players . if he thought "feck it i give up " then good ridance to him

Keano is off........  Hope we get someone in. Don't wanna see Kuyt play as a lone striker again if torres needs a rest.

Keane heads to London for Tottenham medical

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news....cc=3888

Liverpool striker Robbie Keane is making his way to London to undergo a medical after Tottenham Hotspur agreed a £15m transfer fee to take him back to White Hart Lane.

The Republic of Ireland international joined Liverpool for £20m in the summer but he has been unable to establish himself in the starting eleven under manager Rafael Benitez and wasn't even on the bench for Sunday's top of the table clash with Chelsea at Anfield.

Their had been reports of swap deal, with Spurs winger Aaron Lennon heading to Anfield, but the two clubs have settled on a cash-only deal.

At lunchtime Liverpool confirmed that Keane was on his way to London for a medical with Tottenham ahead of possible return to the club he scored 15 Premier League goals for last season.

A spokesperson for the Anfield clubs siad: "We've allowed Robbie to talk to Spurs but we've not yet finalised a deal with them for the player."
