Robbie Keane is still a Liverpool player, despite a last-minute move by Tottenham.
The London club made a £15m bid for their former striker but it was rejected by Liverpool.

An increased offer would be considered if Spurs want to sign Keane before the transfer window ends at 5pm today.

They be mugs to bid higher them 15m but spurs are mugs so who knows ! lmao

We were mugs to have spent 20 million on him. Sorry, I'll correct that: Rick Bellend Parry was a mug to spend 20 mill on him.

To me the whole thing seems like Keane has just spat the dummy when Rafa left him out of the FA Cup match against Everton and it's continued on from there. No player is above the club and the manager. At the moment it's all just garbage speculative talk from the red tops. I'll not be surprised to see him go, but equally so if he ends up staying.

As for Arshavin; why would you want to get rid of a proven EPL player and get one that's unproven? They are similar sort of players anyway.

I dont think they are. Arshavin is a lot more creative and has the ability to actually run past players.

In what league?

I would have to agree there we was he is good player no way worth 20 mil at his age maybe 12-14 , 14 mil pushing way to high end.

Ok some might say well if he bangs in 15 goals (if he stays) last half of season he would be worth it but i doubt he will i really do.

I feel he just don't fit rafas system bcos he uses same space gerrard likes to use so how will it work ?

Also keane isn't effective playing next to a striker he at best going out wide and working in and around the back of a front man just like berba.

I think hes staying, he looked very happy yesterday, maybe the meeting him and Rafa had has ironed out some issues.

I'd actually value Keane around 10 million or slightly less. No more than that. Spurs were rubbing their hands when they got shot of Berbatov and Keane for around 10 million more than what they are worth each.

If he's staying I have a couple of ideas. Firstly, lets put him on the bench and then when Torres gets a bit tired, or we need either an alternative or another striker, we can bring him on. Secondly, the next time he scores two goals in a game, lets have a bash at leaving him on till the end. We could even try picking him in the next match after that. You never now, it might just work.

That is a bad news .. Don't get me wrong but he won't get much games after we beat Chelsea ... We played better without him ....

I look forward Lennon ( We really need RM, Kuyt can't played that area , he can't even cross a ball ), Bale ( if we get him, Dossena will be sell at the end of the season ), loan Saviola ( played him as back striker ) ...

They are completely different players mate. Arshavin is a genuine 'play in the hole', string-puller who can also do a job on the left-side (he's played that position for Zenit many times) in Rafa's 4-2-3-1. The guy is (for me) a little magician and is a better player than former Rafa favourites, Garcia and Aimar. Technically, he is as good as you can get, he's got GREAT vision, superb passing ability and he scores goals. sure, there would be question marks over his ability to deal with the physical side of things but this guy playing behind Torres would be a dream for me.

If i could control this transfer window (realistically) we would ship Keane back to Spurs, hijack Arsenal's bid for Arshavin, ship out Dossena on loan, sign Gudjonsen on a season loan and sign a Right Back.

and then i'd shoot down that pig....

I'm just dreaming lad :(

Got the day off with all the snow down south forcing my college to close so it's just me, the transfer window, and (I suspect) me getting frustrated for the duration of the day...
