Robbie keane - [EDIT: On His Way Back to Spurs]

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I don't think there's any money in the kitty for new players....and if it's reverse psychology with Keane, then where's the sense in sitting him on the bench instead of the one place where he can justify his transfer fee ?

Well if it’s true……then who the fu(k does Robbie Keane think he is? He has been sh1t 95% of the time he has been on the pitch this season so what right does he have to demand more playing time?

Rafa wasting 20million on a small time player and then losing faith in him half way through the season is a separate issue completely.

I don’t know why people feel so sorry for him, yeah he has tried hard as he always done but his performances don’t warrant him demanding more playing time.

Even though he has missed some sitters hes been far from rubbish mate, works as hard as kuyt and offers more of a threat. Atleast he doesnt have that waster Pennants attitude not turning up for training and swigging bottles of Jack daniels in town, the lad wants to play and deserves to.

Why?  Do you think Rafa is just leaving him on the bench because he doesn't like him?

If he's leaving him out its for a reason, same with Alonso, same with Masch etc etc. Big players need to perform, if they don't they should be dropped just like anyone else.

My own opionion (and in truth I have no real evidence to go on), I think Keane maybe came to Anfield with a "Billy big b0llocks" attitude. The way he has tried fancy flicks when a simple shot would have sufficed on a few occasions, barking orders and going "off" on one when he doesn't receive the ball etc etc.

Lets see why, He gets his first goal against PSV, which boosts his confidence and gets dropped to bench next game. He then gets two goals against Bolton, and a goal against Arsenal, hitting top form but he gets benched against Newcastle.

the way he is treated is a disgrace, Kuyt has been worst than him and he still gets a game.

I feel sorry for the way he gets benched all the time, Like I said, why does Rafa drop him when he scores 3 goals in 2 games? Why couldn't he give him a run of games? It really doesn't make sense, when there is another player who has been playing like :censored: in 4 or   5 games gets ahead of him in the starting lineup, shouldn't be that player benched too?

Keane only ever does well when he is the main man but unfortunately for him there are far more important players at Liverpool than him. It’s the same situation wit Bellamy, good premiership players for the likes of Spurs, Newcastle and Blackburn but out of their depth with a team that wants to fight for the title.

Some of the sympathy he is getting on this board is pathetic.

I seem to remember him doing okay at Spurs when a certain Mr Berbatov was claiming to be Number 1

Rafa said the other day Torres will have to fight for his place back into the team that other players are ahead of him in the pecking order  :Oo:

He did mate last season(remember Portsmouth and Birmingham?) Torres scored two against Derby, was then left out...... came back with a hatrick against Reading. Torres proved him wrong and then made sure he couldn't be left out again.

Why is it ? I have said before and i will say it again i was never a big Keane fan but he has won me over and he deserves to play in our team when we have a severe lack of goal threat from kuyt.
The lad was on a run and gets dropped to the bench for no apparent reason.
The treatment of him has been nothing short of a disgrace TBH like when Crouch was being brought on in the 90th minute why be little players like that?
