Slate kuyt all you want but we missed him against Preston even though he has been out of form the past few games.

Now I realise why he starts every game no one works harder.

Are the rest of the players in the same form of Xabi Alonso?

R: He is playing as he really is: a phenomenon. A cracking player, tall and strong. Good header, dominates that here called the “tackling” (entrada).

No Riera mate, listen to the stats, they say Lucas is better at that.

Typical interview, but nonetheless Alex that had to take some of your time, I'm really grateful. Keep up the good stuff :)

Also, I'm worried about Agger. I didn't know the bit about Milan wanting him, and I don't like that he's expiring his contract. I'd disagree Rafa if he left Agger go. Rafa, renew him!!

Im quite sure his contract expires next Summer Sabre.
He signed in Jan 2006 so I doubt his contract was only 3.5 years, 4.5 years seems more likely mate.

Not a great source but if you search the net Im sure you'll find better ones.

I dont know whats going on with his contract or rafa's January is going to be very interesting indeed.
The Yanks need to refinance on the 25th of January we play the mongrels twice in that week and Gerrards in court on the 23rd.

Our season could collapse over night.

fo dne and fowler , reira has contributed no more or less than lucas or kuyt or yossi this season which is exactly what i was saying . As for him being a class above well so far he hasnt shown anything that proves that so until he does he is with those that are decent very good players who contribute towards the squad .

Absolute nonsense mate!
Riera has brought a balance to the team we have been lacking for years.Think back to last season when it was mostly Babel out there on the left.FFS he lost the ball more times than he completed a pass. This season its a whole different story.OK not every time Riera gets the ball does he bomb forward and create a chance, but the important thing is that when theres nothing on he plays the simple ball..he does'nt loose possession. That for me is one of his biggest assets,im not saying he NEVER gives possession away but compared to last season we keep the ball a hell of a lot more because of him.I've been a fan of Kuyt and he had a great start to this season but his form has dipped and he's lost the ball more times in the last few games than ever IMO.As for saying Lucas has done as much as Riera for the team..WISE UP mate...One of the silliest statements I've heard on here in ages!Just wrong..theres no comparison!

The wrong thing to do is to compare.

If you have a robot that lacks some oil so that the joints aren't rusty and can move, you can't say the oil is better than the joints, all are necessary.

Riera's contribution to this team was much needed to make the rest of the machinery work.

Quite simply if you're top of the table all the pieces of the machinery must be working well, except for Dossenna Degen and Babel, I think that most of the squad players have performed at the expected level of their abilities (perhaps Keane could have scored more, but I'm happy we have him)

Yeah apparently not bad, I heard him (Nadal) say in an interview that he came to England in 1999 and had a trial at Leeds United but they decided against taking him and he went back to Spain and decided to concentrate more on his tennis. Probably not a bad idea lol.
