Great to hear about Chelsea drawing. :D  I don't think Torres should play even if "fit" though gotta get him right.

No harm in giving him a run out for maybe 15 mins or so at the end whatever the result.

I've come to dislike Arsenal supporters since last season and it would give me a lot of pleasure to watch our team end their miserable title hopes next weekend.

COME ON LIVERPOOL!!

Arsenal desperate to prove they are still in the race, Liverpool need to prove their title credentials, Robbie Keane needs to show the goods, and Bermenstein starts the thread

Arsenal play us and villa back to back, and these 2 fixtures will be vital for them.  They are going to go all out and go for it, I hope we make minimal mistakes as this will be tough.

We'll beat Arsenal, I'm sure of it.

Its one of only six games a season where our approach will stand us in good sted.

I wouldn't be quite so sure we'll beat them to be honest. They remain a good side on their day, and like us have already seen off both Chelsea Away and the Mancs at Home. Where they've differed from us, is that they have been even worse against the so called smaller clubs.

My feeling is that they're already gone for all money as far as the Premiership is concerned, but no doubt they still think they're in with an outside chance as long as they can win this match and then go on a twelve game winning run (remember those feelings?). As a result, they'll come out absolutely fired up and we'll need to be on our mettle.

Just to revisit a point I was making earlier which did admittedly stir up the hornets nest a bit, this might be one of those games where we pay a bit of a price for our defensive styling. I can't believe for a second that we will go into the game with Hyppia as one of the centra halves given their pace and mobility, so I can only assume Agger will be rotated back into the fold. It may be the case that he'll instantly settle into it, pick up where he left off and the rest of it, but then again it may not. I could be wrong of course and Rafa may be intending starting Sami as centre back, but that would be a huge ask I think up against Adebayour and Van Persie. No, it'll almost certainly be Agger I think. At least he'll be fresh I suppose :) .

The other concern would of course be the left back slot. Once more, given the fact he's only played once a couple of weeks back I can't believe the manager will go with Insua. I doubt Aurelio will be fit (simply because he rarely is) so therefore by the process of elimination we are in all probability staring down the gun-barrel at another appearance from Dossena. You wouldn't have to be the biggest tactical genius as an opposition manager to come to the conclusion that Dossena is potentially a weak link, and I guess we can just all thank our respective Gods that Walcott isn't playing (he isn't is he FFS?).

Then we've got the up front situation. Our choices it seems to me unless I've missed someone off, are Torres who almost certainly is injured. We've got Kuyt who looks far more likely to score a goal from right midfield than he ever does when he plays up front, we have Egg Nog who being charitable is still finding his feet at this level, Babel who probably can't remember the last time he played up front, or Keane who we aren't talking to at the moment.

It may be the case of course that Kuyt will suddenly find his shooting boots, or will manage to deflect one in off some obscure part of his anatomy. Failing that, Keane may play and suddenly become confident even though he's got splinters in his erse from his time on the bench. At least he should give it his all as he's only got to do an hour. Babel may play up there and amaze us all (including himself probably) with how good he is a striker, or perhaps we can just rely on Gerrard scoring a couple, the selfish b@stard.

It's an intriguing game with many permutations. Definately one where the games which have gone before will have a bearing.

Bring on yer Manchester United,
Bring on yer cockneys by the score,
And we'll take you two by two,
And kick fuck out of you
Cos Liverpool are the team that we adore..........................

Bertie Mee said to Shankly,
Have you heard of the North Bank Highbury?
Shanks said no I dont think so,
but Ive heard of the Annie Road Aggro..........................
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Walcott will definitely still be unavailable, Mick.  In fact, this is one of the best times to play Arsenal with a dodgy LB, IMO, because they are in deep trouble on the flanks.  Diaby and Denilson started wide against Boro and were anonymous.  I don't see that Wenger will have much choice but to do the same against us, unless he decides to play the teenager Wiltshire.  Of course, Dossena will still need to cope with Sagna on the overlap but hopefully Agger (you're right, he will play in this one) will be able to help him out.

as far as Rafa choping and changing all of a sudden with Carra's partner goes: A few weeks ago, Agger had a slight knock that I don't think was widely reported and apparently that was the reason for Hyypia's inclusion in the game against West Ham.  In that game, Hyypia was one of our biggest offensive threats, having several chances from corners. Can't be sure what Rafa made of it though as he could not have selected Hyypia in midweek due to not being on the CL roster.  Maybe Rafa has decided that we are likely to earn lots of corners and free kicks against these lesser premiership sides, who are also more likely to threaten us through the air, and that Hyypia is the best option from here on? Course that seemed to backfire a bit against Hull as Hyypia could have prevented the first goal had he dealt with the initial cross better (but again he came very close to scoring himself from a header).          Still think we need Agger for this one though, and if Skrtel was fit, I would think about Arbeloa at left back.

doesnt really matter who starts for Arsenal really.. if we'r lucky we might get something out of this game but cant see it happening really.. we need to make sure we keep things tight and hope for the best going forward... Mascherano, Alonso, Carra and Reina all need to have good games and i think a draw would be a good result if we can come away with it... going forward theyr still miles ahead of us... dont think an open game favors our stye particularly ... kepp it tight, try to nick a goal and sit back for 90 mins...
