14.54 Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez has reiterated that he wants to keep Xabi Alonso at Anfield, while Albert Riera is expected to arrive from Espanyol. Some news on Riera!!!!!

If it doesn't, apart from berating Rafa over the length of time he has wasted in NOT signing new quality wingers, there's no excuse for not pushing one or two of the Reserve players forward to the senior squad.
I watched 'em quite a bit last season and I'd give them a go.
I reckon Gary Ablett would agree too...
Give 'em a lash and hold on to the cash till January. No point in a rash purchase for the sake of it.

But I do believe there's something in the pipeline, Riera aside. Things are very quiet at the club and I reckon it's deliberate...

I had that feeling until an update came from SkySports, i don't think they'd post rubbish on their website
