Rafa's been doing well among the high stakes while lacking of resources. Not to mention all the mess inherited by the old reign. He's been great!

Where are we today.. before PL 04-05?

RB seems to favour  Spanish  players, ..OK But doesn't he watch other Euros.???   e.g.Look at LFC .WE ARE ALREADY EURO, ...not necessarily all Brit, and certainly not
Spanish...RB,.. please don't turn us into Real C team.
Are you myopic?Didn’t you get out much, when you were in Spain?
Houllier went all over Euro and had success(and some mistakes)

I really don't know how I'd feel if we won the CL and all the players were Euro Mercenaries... I think I'd pass on that. When Euros become locals like Henchoz, then I
can live with it. We have infected him with the LFC virus, but Baros is mercenary and now it seems is Owen   It is a terrible thing to say, but my second team in Euro CL, will be the team with the most locals.

RB spoke about club pride and how local players could educate newcomers. As Jamie C now seems part time, SG is your only LOCAL.... I think we certainly have to be concerned.. I want LFC , not fantasy football.

Henchoz bleeds red and that's what I want from a Euro.
:kungfu:

are you serious??
wouldn't be happy if we won Cl with mercenaries, who cares who we got if we win the CL it would ****** fantastic.

Will you cast a "local" like Owen as mercenaries after the way he holds the club for ransom?

It will be good if we could win with a team filled with locals but I don't think it is possible anymore. What is more important is for the club to continue on winning ways while playing attractive football a club like ours deserves.

Rafa has been threw in at the deep end big time and i think gettin Gerrard to stay was fantastic management as under houllier Stevie would now be at Chelsea, i think hes done well so far hes been managein the club with dignity and im surprised hes got time to deal with transfers at all with all the sh!te goin on at the club and once again i think the board have slipped up big time with the owen deal
Chopper:Look, you're not still angry at me about the leg, are you?
Neville Bartos : Nah, forget about it.
Chopper : Because I don't know if you remember, Neville, but I had that bloody shotgun pointed at your head. I reconsidered and dropped it down to your kneecap. Remember?

I agree, Rb has done a good job…even a great job so far.
What I really want is commitment to LFC by any player who comes here.I don't see it in Baros and obviously now, not in Owen.

RB knows Spain, as supposedly GH knew France.
If you’re going to look outside the UK, there are a lot more plays than only Spain.Norway,Finland and Switzerland in LFC's back four for example.

RB just don’t get fixated on one country
I heard th Japs come cheap.

And how many good english players are there?

Would be quite happy with Hargreaves and Scott Parker if we could get him from Chelsea. Keavin Beattie wouldn't be the world's worst signing either.

If it doesn't matter at all , then we've lost something.
If you want nameless Robots...we might as well play the Cl on my kid's Nintedo.

Oh.. and I did see Roger Hunt and Ronnie Moran play. :D
