Watched "WAZ" a good movie with a great storyline about a serial killer.
It has a good plot though, the killer is killing for a reason unlike most of these flicks were its just random murder and 2 detectives scratching their heads.Kinda graphic in parts, but the end is by far the hardest to watch it goes a bit"HOSTEL" in the last scene.
If anyone likes thes kinda movies id say watch it.I had'nt heard of it or any of the actors so it was a nice surprise that i enjoyed it so much!
Good flick and a lot better than some of the mainstream movies out there at the mo!

Anyone got some suggestions for some films? I've just set up my DVD rental, so I'm looking for some films to put on my list.

I don't mind any genre, so if you can think of any films that you thought were good, post them here.

Thanks.

Lars and the Real Girl, surprisingly enjoyable
Painfully introverted Lars Lindstrom meets a wheelchair-bound, half-Brazilian missionary on a sabbatical to experience the world, Bianca's unlikely friendship with Lars might just be the solution to all his problems. Bianca however is a life size inflatable doll !  :D

finally got to the cinema yesterday. 25 fecking degrees in london, too fecking hot, so checked out one of the summer blockbusters and saw.... Harold and Kumar escape from Guantonamo Bay!!!

Now, this film isn't for everyone, most people will think its the most infantile film ever made, but as stoner movies go, the H&K films are now up there with Cheech and Chong... add a little Neil Patrick Harris and if you liekd loved the first film then you'll like this one. (who wants to see that indiana jones/superhero :censored:)

Look out for the 'Happening' saw the trailor for that with 'Mark Walhburg' in it, it looks a good flick.

Watched 'Shutter' the other day, worth watching. Some fella from Dawsons creek is in and a nice bird. A cross between 'The Grudge' as the film is based in Japan and something else, cant remember though.

Watched 'Point of entry' B' grade give it a miss.

Watched an old one called 'the Vanishing' with Jeff Bridges, never seen it before but that was a good flick.

Talking of Jeff Bridges, if you've never seen a film called K-Pax you should watch it, also starring Kevin Spacey. Its a really good film, jeff is some kind of doctor (psyco babble stuff) and Kevin Spacey appears in this movie and is more or less taken straight to a mental asylum. When questioned by officers they think its the best place for him, and Jeff B becomes his doctor and the film just goes off and gets better and better from there IMO, wont tell you too much except that its a cracker IMHO.

Police Story.

Jackie Chan really is a marvel. The man is incredible to watch in his prime in this film. Some of the stunts are just off the chart. Crazy but extremely entertaining to watch some genuinely death defying moments committed to film. If you only know Jackie from Hollywood made films, then you don't really know what he's all about. Watch this film or some of his other earlier films to see what I mean.

Mrs Woof made me watch a movie called "August Rush" last night. A bit to sugary for my taste but the story of an orphaned musical prodigy searching for his parents did contain some moments of great musical invention.

If you like acoustic guitars check out this scene where the kid gets his hands on a guitar for the very first time.

august rush
