Liverpool’s want away striker could be on his way to Sunny Spain after all. Villarreal could be making a swoop for the lanky striker.

However, Rafael Benitez has placed a £15million price tag on Liverpool striker Peter Crouch which might be a little to costly for the Yellow Submarines.c

Crouch has found himself warming the bench on many occasions as the gaffer has gone for the partnership of Fernando Torres and Dirk Kuyt. It is still unclear whether he will stay or move to a club where he’ll be given regular football.

In Villareal he'll have serious competition  with Forlan. Then there's Nihat, a different kind of striker, very quick and small. They'd do a good partnership.

VALENCIA PAIR PREPARED TO LEAVE

Valencia players David Villa and David Silva have confirmed they are willing to be transferred in order to ease the club's financial difficulties.

Spain star Villa is set to be one of the sought-after signings of the summer, with a host of clubs across Europe reportedly interested.

Spanish newspaper Marca claimed earlier in May that Real Madrid would be prepared to pay Villa five million euros a season to join the Primera Liga champions, plus a transfer fee of 40 million euros which would double the price Valencia paid Zaragoza for Villa in 2005.

Silva, meanwhile, is rumoured to be the target of a 20 million-euro offer from Internazionale.

Valencia are said to be in financial turmoil following their early exit from the Champions League this season, and were helped little by the reported eight million euros they paid in compensation to Ronald Koeman when the Dutch coach was axed in April.

It is believed the club is yet to find a kit sponsor next season and has failed in a bid to sell off their stadium, and move which was predicted to generate 90 million euros for the club this season.

But both players have admitted that if a bid comes in that suits the club they would be ready to leave.

"If the best thing for the club is to get some money and sell me then I'll accept that," Villa told Marca.

"As players we're at the disposal of the club."

However he warned any potential suitors: "I have a long contract, a big release clause and I signed it to fulfil it."

Silva echoed his team-mates comments, saying: "I'm very happy at Valencia but in football you never know what might happen and I'm at the disposal of the club.

"My future will be whatever is best for Valencia."

Villa has scored 21 goals in a season to forget for Los Che this year, while Silva has found the net eight times.

Literally in Spanish it means that they'd play well together.

Bit like the couple Zigic-Munitis did in Racing, only with a tad more of quality.

It's gonna be the same as every year.. we're linked with all these quality players, but they'll go to Man Ure or Chavski and we'll wind up with :censored: Pennant, Mk.2, or whatever... more 'options', more 'possibilities'...

Small rumour in Germany that Voronin might be signed by Stutgart...
Floyd stepped left and threw the hook that caught Hatton flush under the chin. Finally, the British champ had arrived in that mythical place of which his fans speak: Hatton Wonderland.
