Spot on.
Aussie Style wrote:DIDIER DROGBA v JAMIE CARRAGHER
Drogba has not had the easiest of seasons, disrupted by injury and the African Nations Cup, and he has been consistently linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge at the end of the season. However, the Ivory Coast striker - although not as prolific this campaign - is a huge threat because of his power and pace and ability to either thrive alone or bring others into play.
Carragher is an old hand when it comes to big European nights. He has strength and great organisation and is not daunted by any opponent. The Liverpudlian is one of Rafael Benitez's most consistent performers and was imperious at Anfield.
MICHAEL ESSIEN v STEVEN GERRARD
Essien missed the first leg through suspension but he will probably return for the game in west London. The Ghana international's flexibility has seen him play in midfield and defence this season and although he is undoubtedly at his best when driving forward he can do a holding job if required.
Gerrard is one of the most influential midfielders in England and his contribution to Liverpool is enormous. The Reds captain is equally adept at defending as attacking and he covers a huge amount of ground in every game. His advanced midfield role can make him very difficult to mark, freeing up team-mates and unbalancing the opposition. The England midfielder's goalscoring contribution is vital to the team but he found the first leg tough going against Claude Makelele.
JOHN TERRY v FERNANDO TORRES
Terry is pivotal to his side's stability and the team will rely on his customary leadership. Although he has had a mixed season punctuated by injury, off-field criticism and losing the England captaincy, the defender has immense influence and 100% commitment and can knit the side together in the face of pressure.
Torres has made an instant transition to English football after his move from Atletico Madrid. The Spaniard has an all-round game to trouble any defence with his pace, dribbling, ability in the air and clinical finishing. He did, though, miss a golden opportunity to make it 2-0 at Anfield just before the Blues equalised and got little change from Terry.
