Advantage Chelsea,yeah,BUT for the first time in 3 semis in 4 years LFC will have to go and attack,its an all or nothing game coming up,all LFC nothing Chelsea.Mark my words Riises is the only goal they will score in the 2 legs!

but they don't need to score, they just need to keep doing what they have done the last 8 time Rafa has sent  a team to the bridge

i'm not blaming Risse but just wonder why did he try to clear with his head a ball  so close to the ground?

Kuyt has now scored in every round of this season's Champions League – a remarkable stat considering the stick dished out to the Dutchman in some sections of the press earlier in the season.

The skipper added: "I haven't heard him get any stick. We don't listen to any of that (the media). Dirk has been fantastic for us, he's worked his socks off for us again tonight and deserved his goal. He is well respected in the dressing room."

Gerrard also had comforting words for substitute Riise, putting the last-minute equaliser down to misfortune.

He said: "These ties are decided on small details and Chelsea have had a bit of luck here at the end, but maybe we'll get that luck at Stamford Bridge. This team wins, loses and draws together.

"It's the second leg of the European Cup semi-final – if you can't motivate yourself for that you shouldn't be playing football."

Good to see Gerrard being positive.  I hope that he gets the team fired up for Wednesday.

I will certainly be hoping for it.  I think 1-1 and then advancing on penalties or a really open game that finishes 2-2 are our best chances to go through. Hopefully the game with Man U at the weekend will drain Chelsea of their energy and fitness.
