Newcastle boss Kevin Keegan is interested in Argentine left-back Emiliano Insua after watching him play against his reserves for Liverpool. (Sunday Express)

Only a matter of time unil this kid breaks into the 1st team or moves on to pasteurs new.  I think its about time he's given a chance at LB, although Aurelio is playing well there atm he is far too injur prone so its only a matter of time before he picks up another knock.

ESPN is not usally a place to find crazy rumors, so there must be some kind of interest

Schalke full-back Rafinha talks up Liverpool move

Brazilian full-back Rafinha has revealed he would be interested in a move to Liverpool.

The Schalke defender is under contract with the German club until 2011 but would relish a summer switch to Anfield.

'Liverpool is a top destination,' the 22-year-old said in the Sunday Mirror.

'If a move would suit Schalke as well as myself, we can discuss it.'

Schalke director of football Andreas Muller said: 'It is good that our players are being linked with such prestigious clubs, but we don't want to let anyone go.'

I've heard some great things about Rafinha, he's fast, solid and he can put in a good cross.  It's also like he's destined to play under Rafa because their names are very similar.

Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard will be a summer transfer target for Spanish giants Real Madrid.

DiarioSport are reporting that Madrid President Ramon Calderon is preparing to bring in a host of new Galacticos at the end of the season as a trophyless campaign is looking more and more likely, and Gerrard along with Manchester United's Christiano Ronaldo are believed to be top of his wanted list.

Gerrard has hinted that he could quit Merseyside if they continue to fail to match his ambition and Madrid are hoping that failure to qualify for the Champions League would force Gerrards hand into leaving the club.

i hate this talk about Stevie leaving.

I dont think i have once heard Gerrard say or be quoted to say he will leave Liverpool if we dont start winning or atleast competing for the Premiership he will leave, all that he issaid he is gutted everytime he looks at the league table!

Am i wrong, has he said he will leave??

Why is a trophyless campaign looking likely ?
They are top of there league still despite a few poor results lately.
And they are obviously still in with a shout in the champions league 2-1 down to Shalke with the second leg at home.
