I'm wondering if this whole transfer to Madrid thing is designed by Owens agent to press for the best possible deal from LFC, if so it appears to have backfired as we now seem to have stopped fighting for his signature.

Not so much what he will be leaving behind but rather what he has to look forward to.
From being Liverpools 1st choice striker he becomes Madrids 3rd or 4th ,behind Raul,Ronaldo and possibly Morientes (no guarantee Morientes is coming to us).
He must consider that sitting on the bench could be a big part of his career at Madrid but at least he'll have Beckham to talk to
and, I also believe that this is the season we could take on Chelsea and Arsenal for real. If Owen decides to leave, he`s gonna miss out on that and what does he gain? Amongst all the other world class strikers in Real, I bet he`s gonna get used to keeping the bench all comfy and warm for his teammates. Due to the huge squad in Madrid he even risks watching some of the matches amongst the VIP`s, and then he won`t even have David Beckham to talk to. As for Robbie, get a grip guys. Would you buy him back now?
