I know Riise hasn't been flavour of the month for some time now, but I really think it would be a mistake to sell him. He is versatile, hardworking, rarely injured and always gives 100%. Maybe his passing, right foot and shooting accuracy could all be better, but he has also been an integral part of one of the strongest defences in the league for a good number of years now.

I think his loyalty should be rewarded and he should be offered a new contract ASAP.

So we should show loyalty to and keep a player who has been sh*te for 2 years, purely on the back of his time here before that, but we can't do the same for the boss?

Ok then.

I was thinking more on the lines of because:-

he's versatile, hardworking, rarely injured and always gives 100%   

and

he has also been an integral part of one of the strongest defences in the league for a good number of years now.

Whereas Rafa misses games at the drop of a hat, had nothing to do with said strongest defence, and never gives more than 25% effort.

The bloke bossed a relatively meaningless game the day his Dad died, ffs.

But hey - no loyalty to that man.
