I am none the wiser after sitting watching the picture break up for an hour!

God only knows what the final score was  :glare:

Took me back to my youth, midweek football night on radio 5 when you sat around the radio listening to commentary.Just as we put an attack together a german news bulletin or opera singer took over the airwaves and you where none too sure if you got a goal or not when it came back on!

haha i saw the last 10min of the game , did not realise i had the game running in the tv and i was online searching for bloody stream...dope..!!

All the new signings look good , babel has some good skil ,very fast feet looking forward to see him play more , saw veronin goals all well taken once , torres showed the glimpse of what he can do but he was a bit relaxed today mayb he'll carefull bout his ankle , i'm sure he'll score the next game and ohh ohh sisoko seems to be passing well :p

voronin is scary, he was a superman

torres lack of supplies due to clueless benayoun and adapting babel, while xabi and sissoko were more concentrating on defending

darby needs some bit whiles before getting into the business, agger and carra need to warm up more, arbeloa looks mediocre

finnan, gerrard and riise are liverpool players

Watched it om Setanta and was impressed with most things.
Voronin took his two goals well and looked bright throughout, linking the attack with the midfield well, not as slow as i thought as well, although that could be down to the Bremen defenders being slow.
None of our wide players really stood out and all struggled to really get involved so lets hope thats not a sign of things to come, more a case of that many changes and a slow paced game not really helping them.
The game was made for Alonso who looked different class with his range of passing, its amazing how different a player he is when he isnt pressed the second he receives the ball.
Gerrard's passing was also really impressive spraying long and short passes all over the place.
was happy enough with Torres he showed glimpses of what he can do without getting a goal. The way he turned the defender before cutting the ball back suggests that he can do things in the areas where it will hurt the opposition. He also looked to try and link things with Kuyt which was good to see, we need our forwards to work together and play off each other alot better than what we seen last season.
Babel's touch wasnt quite there with a couple of underhit passes giving posession away cheaply-although he did make the space for his tame shot well, with quick feet in a tight area.
Happy enough with that and looking forward to Friday now.

sounds good so far.... next couple of matches will be interesting to see where we are at... the defence still seems a problem for us .... i know early days and giving youngens a go and all that but we need to be tigther at the back seems 2 goals we gave away shouldnt have happened...

after i saw voronin on youtube the other week you could tell he was good value especially on a free transfer just hope he can keep up the good form and not get injured as he looks the business in front of goal

Greak skill from Babel to go past 3 players though.

They weren't easy chances. Keeper made a howler of a save from Kuyt for Torres to follow it up. Unfortunately for Torres, the keeper  recovered well and got a good block in. It looks easy, but good keeping in the end. Second chance that went wide was unlucky. Two defenders on him and just didn't get enough contact with the outside of his boot to get the curl on it. I've seen enough. He knows where the net is and when and where to find it. He'll be a success for sure.

As for Voronin, who gave him permission to act like a world class player, then? He looked fantastic. Those who laughed and mocked about this signing may retract their opinion immediatly. If he does this in the league for us next season, he could well turn out to be one of the best signings in the Prem ever. On a free - you can't be bad to that. Well done, Rafa - you can now make a tidy profit should you want to sell.

Babel showed one touch of pure class outside the area that I've not seen in our squad for a brave while now. It's little things like that alone that you can tell straight away that he has a gift and has the potential to be a real cracker. The next Henry they say? Coucld be. Could be.
