Should we call some of our loan players back?

I think we should atleast call back Carson and Pongolle, I am not to sure if Pongolle will want to come back like but with Luis out for the rest of the season it would make sense to add to our attack.
Id even get Cisse back he can play on the right and at least score goals from there I know I'll get slated for the Cisse shout but it would make more sense he would be a big improvement on Pennant. And  rather than go out and buy a new left winger when we have Kewell and Gonzales coming back Pongolle could play there or Pennant.
We still have Chelsea, manu, Arsenal and everton all to come to Anfield.
Plus the minor problem of Barca, Pongolle has been terrorising defences over in Spain.
I think we have missed him also even from the bench he could change games.
Right now we are down to the bare bones in midfield.
Aurelio, Riise, are our only two fit left sided midfielders.

M Gonzalez    bruised shin         30th Jan 07
L Garcia      ACL                  Jun 07
B Zenden      knee                 13th Jan 07
M Sissoko     dislocated shoulder  22nd Feb 07
H Kewell      septic arthritis     no return date

I know Zenden will be back shortly but hes been injured more than he's played for us.
Same applies to Gonzales this is his 4th injury in half a season.
As I said I will probably get slated with the Cisse shouts but we could certainly do with something to boost our attack.
Who knows ?
I know Id certainly welcome back Pongolle, Cisse and Carson back with open arms at the moment.
I also think the rest of the players will.
There confidence muct be at nil right now, I hope they  can come back positive from these two defeats maybe having old faces returing might cheers the dressing room up a bit.
And bring back the Kaizer for the rest of the season cant get a game at City we could certainly use him now ask if he fancies a loan move back.

As I said we havent got time for new players to bed in bring back the loanies.

Are not Pongelle, Cisse and Carson on agreed season loan deals?  Doesnt that mean calling them back isnt even an option.

I dont know the contract of their loan moves but its january the transfer period. Im sure in their contracts there must be something along the lines of if we need a certain player back then they have to come back they are still under contract from Liverpool.

IMHO, even if we consider to call Cisse back, i doubt that he wants to return to Anfield. His heart wasn't here anymore and i'm pretty sure he's happy at Marseille at the moment. So, calling him back is a no go but as for pongolle, he did mentioned that rafa need him for next season and he still has the desire to show that he earn a place here at Anfield.

I'd have Pongolle and Carson back deffo, but not Cisse, yes he might score a few goals but like Gonzalez cant do the basics, making attacks constantly break down.
Pongolle i would love back here, he is a very good footballer, he has a good touch is quite tricky and quick as well.
Carson is having a fantastic season and if he doesnt come back now, he should have a big future.
If any of these deals are season long without an option of bringing them back then that is stupid, they are our players and we should be first priority.

I'd get both pongolle and carson back if possible, carson as back up to reina and pongolle as an impact sub who can change games. I think we've missed pongolle to an extent this season, he usually always makes an impact from the bench and we havent had many substitutes who have been able to that this season. Then again he probably wouldn't want to come back to get splinters in his ar.se as he wants first team footy, carson probably does aswell for that matter.

TBH I wouldnt bring any of them back, lets face it as good as a footballer Pongolle is where or when will he realistically get a game ? He's a forward and he'll only be third or fourth choice maybe Rafa would give him the nod over Fowler, but not Bellamy, Kuyt or Crouch. He would of been useful in those Carling cup games but thats about it TBH. Carsson I'd leave him where he is for even more experiance, he'll again be warming the bench, I dount like tempting fait, but I cant see Reina getting injured. And as for Cisse, if nothing else in a time like this I wouldnt think he's the personality you'd want in the dressing room when the chips are down so to speak, and really you wouldnt want him on the pitch he's just not good enough.

I'd rather have Pongolle in one of the wide positions than any other player we have fit at the moment.
I take your point with Carson, as he is having a great season and playing is obviously helping hime develop.
Pongolle probably wouldnt want to come back to play out of position but we need him...unless rafa brings in a new face or two.

Ace I cant see play Pongolle out wide is any better than we've already got. He is a forward by nature, more of a playmaker I think it would be a waste of time bringing him back, maybe this is Aurelio's calling to step in for a decent run and show us what he's got.

Why are we loaning an Italian goalkeeper for 6 months when we have Carson out on loan to Charlton?

We definitely can call Carson back off loan, Rafa said before Christmas that it was an option(recalling Carson) that he wouldnt be using.

For me Carson has been 1 of the best keepers in the league this season and is there much point loaning a keeper who is hardly going to play any games?

Cisse?
Cisse had a different haircut for every game. That says to me that his mind was 100% on the upcoming game. I never liked him and the night I had enough (i can't remember what game it was but it think it was CL) but he was playing on the right and with three attempted crosses in sucession, he hit their left back three times with the ball. It's harder to hit the same spot three times than get the ball in the box.
You might say 'Well, he's not a winger' - I say he's a professional footballer and if he can't get the ball into the box, what's he doing palying football?

I pretty sure Marseille and Recrative have put in a 'no sign' back option so there is nothing liverpool can do..

if anyone was too come back i think rafa would get Sinama but it is not gonna happen.
