Diouf scores for Bolton, let's pull him back while he is on a roll !!! :D   :D
On a more serious note, how long before Pongolle is fit ? Nunez will be ready soon and let's try Kewell in a strike roll ?

I dunno if he'd be good enough for LFC but I doubt that Beni would even look at him as he like to buy continental players.

I can't believe people are saying straight up that we shouldn't recall players to the club. Fine - Diouf, Cheyrou and Le Tallec may have underachieved under Houllier, but we need strength in depth and these players can offer that.

January is a long way away, and if you guys think a strike trio of Baros, Mellor and Pongolle can see us through, then I think you're going to be very disappointed with your season. Yes, Kewell and Garcia can fill in up front, but then we'll have a threadbare midfield. If we don't have quality back up for every position then we're in serious trouble.

Personally, I'd be on the phone bringing back Le Tallec and Diouf tomorrow. Specialist strikers are exactly what we need to ensure we have stability. It's bad enough that we're having to test out Riise and Finnan on the flanks without having to disrupt other positions. A couple more knocks mid-game and before we know it we'll have makeshifts having to operate throughout the team. Versatility's all well and good, but it's far better to test players out at your leisure than having it forced upon you.

It all depends on the contract where usually if a fee is paid the player cannot be recalled.
Smith to Shankly:My thigh is a bit sore, but I think I could play.
Shankly to Fagan:Tell him,Joe.He has got no chance of playing.
Smith to Fagan:Tell him to sod off.It is not his leg,it's mine.
Shankly to Smith:Oh no son.You are wrong, son. It is not your leg.
It is Liverpool Football Club's leg.

I certainly like to see Le Tallec return and possibly Bruno.
A change of manager has been good for some of other squad players, so whose to say what magic Rafa might work on them

The problems under GH went far deeper than tactics or coaching. The man was totally out of his depth but still refuses to admit it.
The sooner we shed ALL connections with the last few years , the better.
He never showed any interest in The Academy so let's use them at least they've not been influenced by the French Revolution.

An update from Liverpoolfc.tv:

On loan Anthony Le Tallec returned from injury at the weekend to make an appearance for St Etienne in their 1-0 defeat to Lille.
Le Tallec appeared as a substitute for the final 30 minutes and played up front but could make little impact at St Etienne lost the match. It was a welcome return though for the French Under-21 international who has been out injured for the past two months after turning his ankle in training.

Meanwhile there were mixed fortunes elsewhere for Liverpool's on loan players. Carl Medjani made his second appearance of the season for Lorient and played the full 90 minutes as they won 4-1 at Reims. Lorient are now out of the relegation zone and in 12th position in the French second division.

Alou Diarra was suspended and didn't play for Lens after picking up too many yellow cards while Bruno Cheyrou continues to be overlooked by Marseille.

El-Hadji Diouf scored his first goal for over 15 months when he netted for Bolton Wanderers in their 2-1 win over Newcastle United. Sam Allardyce's side are now fourth in the Premiership.

Bruno regretting move...

Bruno Cheyrou has admitted he should have fought for his place at Liverpool, rather than head out on loan to Marseille.

The forward opted to move to Stade Velodrome in the summer, seemingly feeling he would not figure prominently under Rafa Benitez at Anfield.

Cheyrou claims he was told he would be a key player for l'OM, but things have not gone according to plan and the striking woes at Anfield have prompted the forward to admit he should have stayed on Merseyside.

"Coach Jose Anigo is not happy with my performances both in training sessions and in matches," he told L'Equipe. "I am the first responsible for this, but I was never given much help.

"Between the words stated that made me sign and the actual words, there are some inconsistencies.

"I can't understand and I don't agree with the coach's explanations.

"I should have stayed at Liverpool. Considering what has happened there, I would have played more often.

"L'OM was right to sign me and I was right to join them, but the situation is difficult. I am very disappointed."

Cheyrou has warned l'OM that he will look to move on in January if he fails to break into the team, but it remains to be seen if Liverpool opt to recall him from loan

"If my situation does not change before the winter transfer window, I won't try to stay," he added. "I will have to leave."

Liverpool have a lack of forwards following the season-ending injury of Djibril Cisse and Benitez is almost certain to reinforce his attack in January.
