IMO, Rafa was as much to blame for his team selection tonight. We needed our strongest team out there after going out of the FA Cup on saturday. And just goes to show what little we have in class coming through the academy and youth set up we were basically given a hiding by Arsenal youngsters tonight. Dudek shouldn't have played Saturday nevermind tonight, we should still have Carson backing up the squad or playing Martin in goals if we had to as that would've given him some valuable experience if thats what Rafa wants to do??
I'm so bloody angry!! :veryangry

Some people make me laugh.... its only a month ago that you were all saying drop Reina and play Dudek cos he's a better player  Now its sack Rafa because he gave Dudek a chance? Liverpool were bloody poor tonight, but some of your posts are even worse.

It was a very weak team selection for what is and has always been an important competion for LFC, Don't you think. And tonight Rafa got it wrong, bigtime! But I never mentioned sacking him.

I wasn't meaning you mate or I would have quoted you, just some of the idiots who can't see past sacking the manager every season.

Dudek let in 4 goals he should have stopped.

The first - a granny with a limp could have stopped that - he has no bravery in the challenge. Had he continued attacking the ball instead of chickening out like a poof, Alidaire wouldn't have touched it.

The free-kick was a joke. He watched, then thought "Nah - I might get my shin-pads dirty". Shocking, SHOCKING goalkeeping.

Song's - anyone who has ever moaned about Reina's decision-making at corners - watch a replay of this and tell me you still think the Pole is better than the Spaniard.

The rest were because Jerzy was too slow and/or too sh*te.

The only ones that weren't his fault were the two pull-backs for Baptista.

On the plus-side, we never gave up, and Gerrard showed some battling spirit that has been lacking at times this season.

I can't be a*sed to sit here typing out any more negatives.

Rafa was let down by Dudek again.

Bet he doesn't play for LFC this time next week.

The same way we bloody coped with Juventus,Chelsea and Milan[well not for the first half  :D ]. Barca are better than those teams but you get the point.

Don't forget that in that year we were losing to the likes of Burnley and Palace and Soton, and then won the European Cup.

Anybody saying that Rafa should go is a disgrace.  End of.  Rafa is the best thing to happen to Liverpool in a very, very, VERY long time - and if some of you are too short sighted and arrogant to see it, then sod off.  Fastest Liverpool manager to 50 league wins? He's got some f*cking competition there.  Try to remember "You'll never walk alone", for f*cks sake, that's what this club is about.  Maybe if we got relegated I'd end up getting a f*cking season ticket with the amount of w*nkbags that seem to be 'supporting' us these days.  Pathetic.  Not the team, but some of the so called fans.  You are an absoulte disgrace.

For the support they show, the fans deserve more than what they have been given over the last two games. The players need to hang their heads in shame tonight, then come out fighting for the next Prem game.

For those who are going to work tomorrow or going to school. You'll get stick, no doubt about it. But there is a way to shut them up quick.

"Sure we've lost 3 times to you lot, 12-4 on aggregate [2 in cup competitions]. So what does it say when that same team is above you in the league table!  "

I've just read this whole thread through properly, and there is no way in HELL that heimdall is a Liverpool fan.  Day tripping w*nker.  F*CK OFF.  Rafa IS the man who is going to bring glory back to Liverpool, you fickle, fickle c*nts.

Basic errors really cost us.

1- Giving Arsenal far too much space. They must be closed down immediately. Bolton do it to them and they prevent them from playing their passing flair glame.

2- Goalkeepers obsessed with closing down one player when Ray Charles could see that he's about to square it to another.

3- Defenders losing concentration and breaking the defensive line, allowing attacking players to beat the offside trap.

4- Goalkeepers leaving vast open spaces in the goal while they take a few hours to look around the wall.

5- Far too many balls hoofed into the penalty area. With Arsenal who are a skillful team, set pieces like corners could be where they are most vunerable. Physical attacks needed because I don't think an opposing team can outplay them and open their defences.
