Actually how about Capelli, after 2 defeats (oh the horror !! ;-) ) it looks like Real want rid of him, maybe we can swap Rafa for him.

The mistake Rafa made was to persist with Dudek, when he was simply too rusty to face a team as formidable as Arsenal. He did play some younger guys, but honestly this is the kind of match they can learn from. It's probably more illuminating to get thrashed than to give something a thrashing. If he had played more A-listers and if they got injured, then people would be slaughtering him for risking them when we have Prem and CL matches coming up. Yeah, opposing fans and the press will give us stick, but we look at things in the long term and not in the next mornings headlines.

He'll do a decent job at Villa when he has a chance to buy his own players, rather than using O'Leary's.

But the question of Rafa being sacked is a non-starter IMO.

We are lucky to have the guy. We have been improving in the Prem and we iced our CL group. That's what matters. The FA Cup we'll get back eventually. The Carling Cup is meaningless unless you win it. Which sounds obvious, but it does make sense, I assure you.

The first - a granny with a limp could have stopped that - he has no bravery in the challenge. Had he continued attacking the ball instead of chickening out like a poof, Alidaire wouldn't have touched it.

The free-kick was a joke. He watched, then thought "Nah - I might get my shin-pads dirty". Shocking, SHOCKING goalkeeping.

Song's - anyone who has ever moaned about Reina's decision-making at corners - watch a replay of this and tell me you still think the Pole is better than the Spaniard.

The rest were because Jerzy was too slow and/or too sh*te.

The only ones that weren't his fault were the two pull-backs for Baptista.

On the plus-side, we never gave up, and Gerrard showed some battling spirit that has been lacking at times this season.

I can't be a*sed to sit here typing out any more negatives.

Rafa was let down by Dudek again.

Bet he doesn't play for LFC this time next week.

F*cking Nora!!

It was a bad game by a decent player, you wet fart.  :D

My dad had a Ford Capelli once.

It was green and I would pretend to drive it while my dad laughed at my comic antics.

Until the day I actually stole it.

There IS a golden sky.

We are not Everton.

That qualifies as a golden sky I think.

The cool thing about this is that neither Everton or Man Utd fans can give us stick over this.

Everton are totally shyte so they never can say anything, unless their Christmas comes early again and they manage to beat LFC for the second time in around fourteen years or so.

Man Utd were knocked out by Southend. It gets no worse than that.

We were beaten by a good team. Young, yes, but Man Utd have won things with "kids" before. If Arsenal go on to win this cup, good on them. As as Chelsea don't win it.

At least we already won one trophy this year, and we still have champions league and 2nd place in the prem to play for, if we can pull it together against chelsea at home and come out with three points, I could see us only being 3 points back at the end of the transfer window.  If we can go on an undefeated stretch starting with our away tie against Watford, our confidence will be souring by the time we face Barca/  I really hope we sign SOMEONE this month that will contribute to the 1st team this season  Just to provide a a fresh spark and life to the club, anything to distract from this embarassment.
