Liverpool are understood to be considering a shock move for Fenerbache striker Nicolas Anelka.
According to reports in France, Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez is preparing a bid to lure the 28-year-old back to Anfield.
L'Equipe have also claimed that Lyon and Werder Bremen are intrerested in the former Real Madrid forward, who is said to be keen on leaving the Turkish outfit.
Anelka spent part of the 2001/2002 season on loan at Anfield, scoring four goals in 20 appearances.
Bolton have reportedly enquired about a 12-month loan deal, but Anelka is understood to be keen on a permanent transfer.
